Ara B (ag) wrote: A thoroughly cute and warm and loving film of love. It showed the slow and relaxed small town life so truly and exactly that it made me want to go and live there right away.

Serge L (ca) wrote: An excellent entry in the Asterix series. A journey filled with laughs caused by the usual roman incompetence and the clash of two cultures, Goscinny-style. Oh, and of course, the pirates!

Shawn R (ca) wrote: My favorite part is the guy who gets killed, falls onto a grill, and even though he is dead he reaches up to push off the fence so he rights himself

Matthew O (br) wrote: The weakest of the Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies, but this still provides a good amount of laughs. The story is ingenious, Inspector Clouseau is believed to be dead and scours the world in disguise searching for a band of criminals, but is never really used for it's full potential. We still see lots of funny stuff, but it's not as memorable as previous installments. Overall, this is a good comedy, but isn't as iconic as the films that made the character famous. Also on the plus side we get more Cato, and more Cato is always good.

Michael O (es) wrote: Shinoda made an art house stew out of Brechtian mechanisms and Kubuki theater and puppet plays too. Japanese experimental films in the 60s were ambitious and moral and erotic and commanding with style to boot! The plot and the dialogue left me feeling like I'd seen a really trashy high school play yet the camera and the sets and the screaming and the spooky ending knocked me right out. This one is bonkers enough to love and dutifully so.
