One unfortunate day, his grandfather asks him to work in the shop so he can go on vacation. He reluctantly works at the shop. His friends visit him, break a cursed skull, and unleash a curse. The kids will have to work together to reverse the curse by dawn or everyone they ever look at will turn into zombies."Are you on the weed?""No! I'm not on the weed."April Mullen, director of 88; Gravy Train, and Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser, delivers Dead Before Dawn. The storyline for this picture is a zombie parody movie with a mixture of kill sequences and comedy. The writing was kind of bland and the comedic content was bad. The cast delivers mediocre performances and includes Christopher Lloyd, Devon Bostic, April Mullen, Brittany Allen, and Kevin McDonald."So I grabbed the bitch's titties and threw her as far as I could."Dead before Dawn was a new movie added to Netflix that I thought looked interesting and added to the queue. This was a campy movie with below average comedic content and acting and the special effects were just okay. Overall, this is a disappointing film that really isn't worth your time."Is that a pump action shotgun?"Grade: F

Rhys Wakefield is so absurdly hot that it skews my judgment of the film but there is definitely enough eye candy for the average love-hungry young adult. It's an interesting flick but definitely not a timeless classic.

(nl) wrote: many people think this movie is corny but i like it. i does have a very good wide variety of special effects. it keeps me wondering what will happen next. there is a lot of sad parts that makes it interesting. how do they even make theses special effects like the animals, shadows and the people hanging from the rope off the cliff? some parts are easily noticeable to tell when something is fake. i reccomend this movie to people who like action and sad movies.

(ca) wrote: Exceptional performances throughout with not a single weak one out of the lot. The only problem is that there isn't enough to work with- everything just isn't that interesting- the acting talent makes it interesting but it shouldn't be that hard. Very well, if not slightly over-used, sense of time and place and good shots to capture the intense moments breathe some extra life into this one but there's still a feeling that the film is simply documenting events as opposed to taking anything from them. It's just not particularly rewarding for the viewer outside of the magnificent acting. There's lots of untapped potential that looks like it will be fully utilised at first until it slowly becomes clear that none of it is touched and the end result sticks to obvious and common themes with little depth behind him. Again, it's thanks to the acting that this film works because everyone brings their A game and it allows a lot to come from relatively little. It's a good watch for various reasons but you can't help but feel slightly disappointed by the end result.

Hardly a holiday classic (the cover art is one of the best parts) it's still not bad. Works more as a dark comedy more then anything else. It makes me want to brush my teeth w/ beer. Some friends from college are out in the woods for a reunion where they are abducted by some backwoods trash that are encouraged to rape & kill by their mother. This benefits from being a Troma release so the bad taste is more palatable & has a really bravo finale. That Drano/electric knife kill made me applaud
