It is an ordinary afternoon for young Mabo Keïta, at home, in Burkina Faso (West Africa). While his parents are taking a nap, he reads a schoolbook on the front porch when a stranger - an elderly man carrying his own hammock - appears for an unexpected visit. It turns out that the old man is a griot, a West African musician/entertainer whose performances include tribal histories and genealogies. The position of a griot is a time-honored one and passed down from father to son for many generations. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Marc P (kr) wrote: Actually, I was impressed with this Hong Kong version of Cellular.I'm even more surprised that Flixster had this movie on their list. I do feel that the movie was a little drawn out and could have been shortened. I haven't seen much Hong Kong films but the acting seem decent. I not big on asian kids crying on film. It kind of looks fake to me.But the story was good, just a little long.
Mark G (us) wrote: One of the best indie Martial Arts movies I have ever seen. The Stunt People have totally nailed it when it comes to Hong Kong style action. Nobody even comes close to these guys. It's a wonder why Hollwood, with there huge budgets, always fail to deliver this kind of action while The Stunt People have it figured out. Live long indie martial arts films and live long Stunt People!!

James D (au) wrote: This would have been a decent movie, if the ending hadn't been so dissatisfying in SO many ways. The last 15 minutes of the film are just bad. I won't spoil the ending, but it will spoil itself for you.
Joe S (it) wrote: There needs to be more films like 90s Julia- RomComs. The world would be a better place with its dialogue and stories instead of movies about comic book heroes
Greg B (fr) wrote: Terrible, terrible movie, with little going for it. The FX are bad, the acting is bad, and the story is bad. One of the problems is that the boy who's suppose to be the evil preacher kid, is just too unconvincing. I just can't buy into him, even when he's trying to be evil. He's just not creepy enough to be effective. Really if all you want is gore, skip to the last 10-15 minutes, because that's when the gore starts. The finally reminds of the end of the Thing, mixes with the bar scene from Hellraiser 3, with Leprechaun in the Hood thrown in. This movie should just be avoided. Find something else to watch with your 90 minutes of spare time.

Simon D (us) wrote: I don't understand how James Cagney was a good choice for this film. He is well known for playing famous gangsters then suddenly he is marching up and down a stage like a frog on an electrified grid singing silly songs. One thing is consitent, he's still very annoying. He does the same awkward dance in every scene and the story, albeit maybe true, is stupid.
