Nathan F (es) wrote: A compelling, parable-like story that raises provocative questions about the nature of true wealth and about where lasting value is to be found. Excellent film.

James C (kr) wrote: For some reason, and I'm willing to imagine it's Christopher Columbus, this film suffers from the 'kids who don't quite act the right ages' problem. It's slightly weird to watch the more intense scenes with Anna in, but for the most part the film comes off on the good side of family drama.

James B (de) wrote: Masterfully told, Kundun is a story that will earn the Dali Lama your respect no matter who you are.

Richard C (es) wrote: An enjoyable neo-noir thriller that does well with its amount of characters to the point that anything can happen in the film thus creating a usage of unpredictability and tension that helps this film work in terms of trying to design something in which anything can go either way. It also is a likable highlight back to the days when Nicolas Cage could still make good films as well as creating a villain in Dennis Hopper who not as great as his legendary Frank Booth but still played as a villain that you know you shouldn't like but one you can't help but like for all his style and morbid humor.

Ce Khan C (au) wrote: The power of love and the family...I have watched this movie 4 or 5 times, and I am impressed with the subject matter and the way with which Gulzar has written it and Shekhar Kapur has directed it...Shekhar Kapoor shows the world how Indian movies could be..The boy in it is absolutely adorable, as are the daughters. And of course, who could forget the great acting of Shabana Azmi and Naseerudin Shah as the husband and wife...Masoom had excellent music too....Huzoor is Kadar, Lakdi Ki Kaathi, Tujhse Naaraz Nahin. A perfect 5 from me for this perfect film...
