Brandon W (fr) wrote: Brad Anderson's Stonehearst Asylum is a great movie that is a bit of an improvement from his previous film The Call. The idea in this by Edgar Allen Poe is really quite new and a nice idea too that I'm glad that the filmmakers fully envisioned it to the big screens. The acting is great, especially Jim Sturgess, Ben Kingsley, and Kate Beckinsale. I like the chemistry between Sturgess and Beckinsale, and the story is great. The writing's not bad, and there's some tense moments. It's interesting, and has some good thrills. People might say that the ending is tacked on which I somewhat agree, but I like the ending and was interested of how it ended. There are some moments that could've been better, but the negative things are minor as Stonehearst Asylum is a good time for people who are fans of Edgar Allen Poe, and also to those who aren't.

Through the vehicle of basketball, we are treated to a primer on brotherhood, mutual commitment to a goal, team work, integrity, persistence, focus, dedication, and love. It's one that you can and should watch with you children.

Phaedra V (it) wrote: Thora Birch did a fantastic job carrying this entire vehicle. I thought she was just playing herself in American Beauty. She really inpressed me in this one.

Artemis C (br) wrote: I like the real Ron Clark and what he has done for education, but this movie lacks something to express why he is so passionate about teaching.

Nicki M (ru) wrote: Enjoyed much more rewatching it. Toni Collette and Cameron Diaz are great here. The theme is a little darker than your average chick flick. Perhaps the reason I initially rated it lower - not quite what I expected.

Harold S (us) wrote: Really funny loved Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and Jay and silent Bob were hilarious as always

Cedric L (de) wrote: Hilarious, stylish and inventive.
