Yusuf V (fr) wrote: simply perfect... tons of terror and horror with the right amount of believability. it strikes you in the heart and drags you through the mud and doesn't let you go from the start....screen writing and character development couldn't be better
Rob C (nl) wrote: BZ really captures the beauty of ordinary life even in this backdrop: so many awesome interactions here linger and aren't spelled out. The consciousness and compassion of many of the kids is amazing, as are their varied takes on the relations they want with the other side. Watching the complexity of the situation apparently melt away in an innocent soccer game is so moving: it captures a moment of how it could be.

Lesley N (ag) wrote: Simple meditative film about a father handing over the reigns of his postman job to his son during one last journey through the Hunan mountains. A lovely film, enough to make you envy them their day job and the scenery and cinematography are stunning. HIghly recommended for people who like walking.
Cassandra M (ru) wrote: This film must be the most under-rated film of its time. It is a very accurate depiction of the battle of Isandhlwana and the massacre of the British Soldiers. The casting was brilliant, Burt Lancaster and Simon Ward were outstanding in the lead roles. The film following the lives of very different people through a very short timespan was very well done baring in mind the amount of people the film focused on, from a native south african messenger, to an arrogant British General. The film was fair to both armies that fought on that day and deserves to be recognised as a movie epic.

Luke B (mx) wrote: Excellent Sherlock Holmes adventure. The mystery actually draws you in and has questions to be answered. Unlike most mysteries of today the film isn't desperate to surprise you with some ridiculous/confusing motive. It is possible to work out who did it, but that's part of the fun. Working it out with Holmes. The art direction is superb, creating gothic scenes on the streets and in the marshes. Rathbone and Bruce's chemistry also plays well, with Rathbone as a fairly pompous but also impressive Holmes and Bruce as sometimes comic but still useful Watson. It concentrates on the mystery and leaves characterisation well alone. Though at not much over an hour it's a fantastic "Who Done It?"
