(mx) wrote: This has a similar concept to "Midnight Run", but this is much better. Ray Winstone's and Temura Morrison's performances are terrific.
(au) wrote: I had seen this movie earlier today on youtube. It was a decent storyline, (the middle of the movie is quite well written because of the character development) however the ending is very cliched but did tug a little at my emotions.
(it) wrote: I really enjoyed this film. Despite a fairly weak ending the majority of Tetro features beautiful cinematography, creative storytelling and a terrific cast. Vincent Gallo shines as a conflicted writer in Buenos Aires struggling with scars from a tumultuous family history which rise to the surface after a surprise visit from his estranged brother. Gallo gives us a taste of madness, rage, humor and touching emotion in a wonderful performance.

Just a tad more deadpan than Team America, you can just quench its magical tones. The fact that the narrative grabs you by the bullhorns after suspending your disbelief is just top notch. A storytelling achievement as well as an artistic one.

(br) wrote: Bergman believes that God is not our shelter but drives us into madness sometimes. I finally understand why is there a spider in Bergman's collection. He doesn't believe in human relationship too much either when he shows the dark and morbid side of love. Indeed what did he trust? Very metaphorical when scrutinizing those taboos.
(us) wrote: Batman Returns was the second Batman film to be directed by Tim Burton. It was also the last. The script is an improvement over its predecessor, but still isn't very good. The story is great, though, along with Danny Elfman's haunting and emotional score. I really enjoy Tim Burton's take on Gotham City, and I only wish it could've lasted longer, but alas, it did not. Even though Burton still shifts to his freak-show formula, the film itself isn't bad, and is very enjoyable, not just as a superhero film, but as a horror film, as well as a Christmas flick.
(ag) wrote: I freakin loved this movie. What is up with people and their crappy reviews. Crappy movies get good ratings and good movies get crappy ratings. I guess to get a good rating a movie need 100 F-bombs and tons of sexual jokes.
(gb) wrote: Absolutely horrible. I think the screenplay could have been written by pulling an all nighter and writing it myself. Crude, unfunny, and embarrassing to see Robert Deniro in such a crummy movie. Avoid.
