Loach captures the cruelty some people experience on screen and helps us translate that in to empathy, not a lot of films are quite as touching, or moving, fewer still motivate you consider and change the world around you.

Patrick S (fr) wrote: Maybe Seagal should do more sequels since this, the sequel to The Foreigner, and Under Siege 2 were better than their predecessor's. Granted, it's pretty stupid and all Seagal does is shoot people...nary a bone gets broken here but considering how bad the first Foreigner was, this isn't so bad.

Anna B (jp) wrote: Even though it's easy to just write a total id character who says exactly what's on their mind with no care for the consequences, Nick Smith was still fascinating and compelling to watch, especially when interacting with Tom Townsend, so I kinda lost interest when he and most of the others disappeared at the end of the second act and Tom and the stuttering guy went on a fairly insipid escapade to rescue the boring Audrey. I liked the movie, it was funny, but I think Stillman failed to develop what was supposed to be its heart.

morris d (ag) wrote: This has been one of the worst movies I have ever tried to watch. this movie just show how stupid people can be. this shows how anything can be thrown together and be call a movie. the movie gives the characters no common sense. The movie gives a lot of racist overtones that do not need to be added, and could be added in a more clever way. Watching 45 minutes of this movie has taken away that time in my life that I can never get. I would rather go to the dentist and get a tooth pulled than waste time on this trash of a movie.
Drew A (ru) wrote: Devil's Due is a underrated 'found footage' horror film. While the market is saturated with these sort of films, DD sets itself apart with a chilling backstory, and very solid acting, particularly the children (kid in grocery store, blond little girl). If you want a horror film that will get you jolting and keep you in suspense, overall, this is a good film.*For best effect, watch in the dark, and let yourself delve into the characters Point of View (without pessimism).Criticisms for the film:1) Several Cheap Thrills2) A little bit of common sense (and fight) missing from characters.3) Not a very satisfying ending. To be fair though, I've watched many of these 'docu-horror' films, and this was certainly one of the better films. So, let go, and enjoy!

Shamus G (fr) wrote: Certainly Best Picture worthy material here...that is, until the dust settles from the opening twenty minutes. The film's first twenty minutes are a chore to watch, with Bradley Cooper's character coming off as too jarring and annoying to root for. Once he engages with Jennifer Lawrence's character, however, the two put forth the performances of their careers. Several clever plot twists keep the audience member entertained and focused on the plot's development as Cooper's character goes from annoying to tolerable to completely likeable, while Lawrence's character drives the entire plot with scene after scene of emotive acting. An incredible film, albeit one that stumbles out of the gate, but makes absolutely sure to blaze through the finish line.
