Nikhil M (kr) wrote: One of the best examples of style over substance and why not to go ahead with the sequel if it isn't any good. The twists unlike the first part are very easy to guess and the finale is a big letdown.
Mad M (ag) wrote: Decent spy-thriller. Very dense. A bit slow at times. I expected a better movie considering the amazing cast.
Ebru K (kr) wrote: touchy subject... very very touchy and dramatic music... that musician and his words "Sirf saat suron mein aisi kabiliyat kahan, ki aisi nafrat ka saamna kar sakein (Where do seven notes bear the ability from, to take on such hatred?)" makes you sadden.. i feel lucky watching this movie w/ the director Nandita Das at Istanbul Film Festival this year.. she seems very intelligent and confident when it comes the q&a section after the screening.. as she said the reality is unbalanced and her film is showing that.. it is a work of fiction based on a thousand true stories.. makes you think and wonder about the everlasting conflict going on around middle east and india but not in europe or in u.s.
Elgan D (es) wrote: A movie that combines politics and humour into a quite poignant tale. Bardem overshadows the rest of the ensemble cast as the moralistic yet somewhat lazy and womanising rogue.

Jim M (fr) wrote: Novemeber 1944: The Battle of the Hurtgen Forest grinds on, the tense trees. cold weather, fog, and the German defenses combining to make a muddy mess for the Americans in a battle at times remeniscent of the First World War. Private David Manning is ether a coward or possessed of a keen sense of self preservation depending on who you ask. Desperate to get a Section 8 Manning instead finds himself promoted to Sgt. and given command of a squad of green recruits. Manning searches for a way out before becoming one of the growing casualties. Focusing on the little known Battle of the Hurtgen Forest (September 19 1944-Febuary 10 1945 making it the longest Battle in the history of the American Army and the longest on the Western Front), director John Irving focuses on Manning and his squad. Ron Eldrad gives a great performance as a soldier who desperatly wants to stay alive and leave the war behind, but who's very survival ensures that he is constently thrust into the forefront of the battle. Not the best war movie (basically made to cash in on its big brothers released the same year Saving Private Ryan and The Thin Red Line), but still features some good scenes and a great performance. If your into War movies check it out.

War R (it) wrote: A classic war movie about one of the opening moments of the Vietnam War in 1964 when it was still considered a "conflict". Based on the novel inspired by actual events "Incident at Muc Wa" by Daniel Ford, a journalist who wanted to become the Ernie Pyle of Vietnam. And Burt Lancaster's performance as Major Barker was a memorable one.
