From a wheelchair a handicapped white man rules an area of Africa as a living god. He rules the local natives through superstition and stage magic and he rules the few white people through sadism, keeping them virtual prisoners. I bet people do not know that this movie was made on a tight budget and finished with credit cards. It shows the embarassing reality of how limited black actors can be in the movies. I think this movie should be recommended for young black actors who need to be reminded that they too can play any role they desire and have integrity.

I had a scene with a bunch of pool players in Chinatown that disappeared. In France it became a huge hit! It went under the radar in the US. Good cast in the pulp noire genre.

The job could have suited a myriad of lesser known actresses.All in all not a bad film. Action scenes are on par for the fashion of the time, 1971.An enjoyable western with the odd cliche of Mexican bandits and soldiers, saloon shoot-outs and a fairly standard final shoot-out that we all know how it ends.
