(de) wrote: The movie ends so abruptly (it runs a scant 77 minutes), it's a toss-up as to whether Soderbergh was trying to make an auteur statement or simply lost his mojo.
(au) wrote: Poor, tasteless and badly acted. With an absurd message at the end of 'Bride Wars' is perfect for the selfish and prejudiced.
(us) wrote: Too many laughs where there shouldn't be.
(ag) wrote: This film deserves to be seen just for the cast that Sayles managed to assemble. I'd watch Chris Cooper dictate the phone directory and Danny Huston is almost unrecognisable from his great turn in the Proposition. This movie has its flaws. Its too long and overcomplicated, trying for noir but doesn't really make it. It is however worth the time. If you don't watch this at least get hold of Lone Star which is one of the great American movies!

(kr) wrote: It's definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen.
(au) wrote: I have seen this maybe ten times now. I'm a sucker for gangster movies, especially one about a gangster most people have never heard of. I went in expecting nothing when I first saw it, and came away impressed.

(mx) wrote: Leslie Howard and Bette Davis' characters are now pretty laughable; it's Bogie's show all the way, he makes the movie somewhat memorable.
(jp) wrote: This looks like a very funny and tremendous film.
(ru) wrote: A some what comical early crime thriller from Alfred Hicthcock. Half of this film is dedcated to introducing our hero's and villians but the last act of the film is nothing more than a chase between a bus and a train with a lot of plot twists. 7/10

(au) wrote: Cannibal Holocaust pioneers the found footage filmmaking we've come to overuse. Yet social commentary the film tries to make cannot justify sheer ethical violations (gruesome/unnecessary violence, depiction of rape, harming and killing animals) it displays.I have regretted watching a lot of movies that have wasted my time (see Grown Ups 2's review), but never have I regretted watching a movie for it being too much to handle until this film. It is to be used solely to help inspire those looking into the horror genre, not to be viewed for pleasure or replication.
