Helen Y (it) wrote: This is a mockumentary. There are 3 factory workers from different era talking about their own stories from 1958 to now. Their history makes you feel touching by their sound and facial expression. State development and their state ideology occupy and change their life. Older people in 50s think state development as their main mission, also earn for living. They have no choice and therefore leave home as a worker. Labor force, the primary action, is highly appreciated. for example, they always singing labor force song. In the film, worker's daughter has a Olympic doll sign(fook wah) in her own car. This is a sign showing China's status is getting stronger now. Thanks for the past citizen's hard work the city status improves. Citizen in this century can have greater freedom in choosing their lives, such as occupation, marriage, even forming their family. As nowadays citizen, it is difficult to understand their environment, just by mouth. If the film can give us more pictures on the past, it would be more touching and moving. This film is quiet inspirational.

Sylvester K (fr) wrote: A satirical superhero comedy that bears terrible acting from the entire cast and flimsy plot, extremely disappointed at Charlize Theron. There's nothing to be praised about a pretentious film cashing in on the teenage audience.

Buggy B (us) wrote: Despite some moments of dubious acting from both Costner (and a very short haired) Cathy Bates, and a completely over the top scene where Costner jumps over a waterfall and drowns (?) in the same bus that his wife did about a year earlier, which allows him to see her ghost and get the answers he's seeking, yes, despite all that I still liked this movie. It's a unique story and was scarier then I was expecting, delving into ghosts and things that go bump in the night. Ultimately I guess its a love story too. The ending is a big surprise but it did leave me wondering exactly how "they" were going to get out of South America without any paperwork? 08.13 (2) "After his wife dies while on a red cross mission a doctor (Kevin Costner) is plagued by what he believes are messages from his dead spouse, and goes about trying to communicate with her."

Alex A (nl) wrote: Definitely my favorite film from Joel "Bat credit card" Schumaker, Phone Booth is a great thriller. The performances and casting is top notch with Colin Farrell delivering one of the best performances of his career, and Kiefer Sutherland's convincing portrayal of a psychotic sniper. Phone Booth is a fairly underrated, mono-location thriller that is paced well enough to never drag, it's genuinely intense, carries great performances, and in my opinion is very Hitchcock-influenced.

Jess L (fr) wrote: This film grew on me. Once I got into the groove of Water's humor I found this movie hilarious. A campy film about an all American mum who becomes a serial killer in an attempt to maintain her perfect life and perfect family. Turner is great in this role and this film is overall an enjoyable and unique comedy.

James M (br) wrote: A rather unique fantasy adventure from the mid 80's & the director of Superman & the Lethal Weapon movies. Rutger Hauer & Michelle Pfeiffer play two lovers separated by a tragic curse which makes her a hawk by day and him a wolf by night. With the help of petty thief (Matthew Broderick) they try to get the curse lifted. It's quite an enjoyable movie from a time when fantasy movies ranged from absolutely terrible to above average. This is at the latter part of that scale, my main criticism was that the electronic music score really felt out of place.

Aaron M (ca) wrote: A corny xmas movie with terribly over the top acting but boy is it fun. It typifies the madness of christmas and the iconic american parade. Its a clever little story and has lots of slapstick humour the whole family can enjoy.

Pastor Don P (de) wrote: Not perfect but not bad. Some very good acting... You can tell by the reviews that so many critics are intimidated or simply embrace anti-Christian values. For years it has been acceptable to attack the Catholic all Christianity is open season. As America left God and Christian values behind we have embraced that will will destroy our republic. It is time for all true Christians to get serious about prayer and personal evangelism!

Dale A (ru) wrote: You know there are some films that you just don't manage to see for ages and then when you do you wish you'd seen it sooner??? Yeah that happened with me and the Bourne Identity. With this, I wish I'd still not seen it. Probably in my top 5 worst films I've seen this year. Corny, pointless, boring, un-entertaining and a waste of time. Avoid. (BTW - I've given it a star as Meg Ryan is in it, but its a bad role for her, So just one star.)
