Still, the rapid typing "sport" (!) can bring joy to audience through the light-hearted and somehow innocent acting by Duris and Franois. The costume design is also perfect for this film with simple but very elegant designs that can make any pretentious Hollywood film look miserable. A joy to watch.

Eytan D (gb) wrote: On a thriller note, "Klute" is somewhat overrated. It has mystery, but no suspense. Also, the film is rather dated due to its highly 70's feel. But the main reason to watch it is for Jane Fonda, who turns in an Oscar-winning performance.

David M (fr) wrote: It's a heavy tale of grief and self-destruction told in an overly modern fashion. The editing leaves the film chopped to pieces with scenes coming in like a whirlwind with no context only to make sense later. Chronologically, tonally these fly in no discerning order seeking to challenge the viewer to stick with it. This approach is frustrating, but makes what is probably a pretty by the books story at least interesting (for a while.) It starts off heavy with this effect, but tapers off as the movie continues, like they lost faith in it. This provides a strong emotional disconnect from any character on screen. Matthew Goode works hard, but just doesn't have the oomph to really make the role soar. Even with the chopped editing, the film is overly long, and tonally all over the place. Its interesting, but very much flawed.
Stuart M (au) wrote: A decent horror film that doesn't seem to want to be a horror film. Instead it prefers to focus more on the mystery and investigative aspects of the story. There is a supernatural element (believed in awfully quickly) and it lacks the irritating and cliched helpless victims of most horror films. Despite the title it's not really about a creepy kid tearing a family apart. It's closer to a haunted house movie. The changeling of the title refers to something completely different in a way I appreciated. Anyway, worth seeing but not enormously scary.
