Mike B (ru) wrote: This is a must see film for any United fan. However, none football lovers will love the film too. It is a great British film about a postman having a crisis who gets help from none other than King Cantona himself. There are some brilliant short clips of the legend in action too. Very funny film, I really enjoyed :-)

Tom D (br) wrote: one of the better animated. like the artwork and the dark atmosphere created around the above-the-average story.

Glenn H (br) wrote: It was loads better the the 1st movie. It's more plot driven and some nicer character moments. Generally I thought the actors performers were more believable in Anacondas. I like the villain in this greater than Voight in Anaconda. I also like that the snakes were not only danger. Yeah not bad for a B movie. Better than Lake Placid.

Andy P (gb) wrote: A terribly written film with terrible performances from two stars who have very little chemistry. What makes this an even bigger disappointment is that the premise calls for so much more than what is delivered.

Mike L (mx) wrote: A movie known more for its leg-warmers than anything else. There is no story and is nothing more than a reason to show Curtis and Henner in spandex.

Ryan H (nl) wrote: We all agreed by the end of this film that there was no way Truffaut never saw this film. There were many similar aspects between this and The 400 Blows. Of course The 400 Blows was about a kid who does less serious offenses that affect himself more than others whereas this one they are constantly doing things that harm others, but that's really the biggest distinction between the two. It presents the question of what if these kids were not ignored by their parents? Pedro keeps telling his mom that he wants to go straight and get a job, but she doesn't believe him. Instead she just gets on his case more. And when Jaibo comes back from jail we never see him with his family. Then there's the kid who gets the nickname "Eyes" because he helps around a blind old man after his father drops him off and never returns. But I hated Jaibo to no ends. Even Pedro at some moments. They were going to rob the blind man at one point and when he hits the kid with the stick with a nail on the end I felt glad that he stopped the kid AND taught him a lesson. Well, the lesson wasn't taken to heart, but at least it should have shown him to stop messing around. Instead they come back and beat up the blind old man later. The big kicker of the film comes from Julian arguing with Jaibo and Jaibo can't control his anger very well, so he hits him in the back of the head with a stone then beats him with a stick. He dies right there without him knowing it. Pedro witnesses the whole thing. What I liked so much about the beginning of the film was the aimlessness about who we followed. Once it became a drama between Pedro and Jaibo I felt like it became Pedro's story too much. It's good to make him the lead character, but we begin to lose Eyes, who I was becoming very interested in. It's not much of a complaint because even with the focus being on Pedro I was always interested in seeing where he was going to go in his journey. He gets a job, runs away from home, comes back, but Jaibo keeps interfering and making things worse. I really loved the dream sequence when Pedro wakes up in his own bed and his mother climbs over his brother's bed and towards him. The sequence when Pedro goes to the boarding school was great. I enjoyed that the principal gave Pedro a chance, even after he killed the chicken. Every kid needs to be treated differently, the principal explains. If he never comes back with the fifty pesos or what the principal asked for then he loses money. Everyone must pay for their mistakes. Unfortunately, Pedro pays for his mistake through death. And luckily so did Jaibo. Los Olvidados is a devastatingly sad film about the irreversible decisions we make and regret.
