This rarely seen gem from master Suzuki casts teenage heartthrob Koji Wada as a young misfit who suddenly finds himself the unwitting pawn in an escalating family feud that ultimately leads to tragedy. Lean, mean, and stylish as always, this tale of youth-gone-wild is both vibrant and touching. Suzuki contrasts tranquil glimpses of traditional regional life with the emergence of the new rock 'n' roll youth culture and the greed and seething cynicism of encroaching Westernism. Also released under the title "Go To Hell, Hoodlums!", this is a melodrama as colorful, shocking, and exhilarating as one would come to expect from Japan's master filmmaker. . Kyle E (gb) wrote: This was the one book Stephen King has repeatedly said he believed was too scary to be published. In my opinion, this is perhaps the darkest of all the immensely expansive library King has to offer his avid (and rabid) readers. So it's really no surprise that it translates into one of the most simply terrifying movies ever made. There really aren't any particular things that could be pointed out as to why this movie is scary, because that's exactly why it is scary: you don't know what's going on or what's going to happen and a deliciously eerie environment is set up right from the get-go. The frights may take a little while to come but once they get to you, they are relentless.

J C (kr) wrote: Robin Williams is the man. Excellent humour and even some more serious moments, which I was not expecting, but should've, given the setting and context of the film. Easy to tell that "Adrian" provides hope for the lads at war...he also provides that same hope to those who watch the film.

Juan Diego L (br) wrote: muy buena, los personajes muy buenos e icnicos, la historia muy chevere y sencilla, un clsico.

Jamie L (ag) wrote: Not sure I would take a younger kid to see this. Bad guys favorite word is damn..Tries to shoot cat with shotgun. Scene where they are trying to portray the house as being haunted was a tad creepy for little kids movie.
