Carter G (gb) wrote: An original, unique, very special movie. Swiss Army Man will most likely prove too unusual for the average viewer. This film is strange in many, many ways. But if you are able to look past the constant farting and the erections and just how WEIRD the movie is, you'll see a heartwarming tale about friendship, society, and relationships. It has one of the best openings I've seen in a long time, setting the tone for the rest of the film. It is edited beautifully and has a fabulous score unlike anything I have heard before. Daniel Radcliffe can be quite funny and proves that in Swiss Army Man. The main problems I had with this movie are that the fart jokes can get very tiresome after a while (and yes, I realize they are a metaphor) and the ending. The ending of the film seems to drag on for a little too long and it feels kind of off. Swiss Army Man is an incredibly unique and original film, and a great alternative to the bland blockbusters that dominate Hollywood.

Sean S (ru) wrote: It's a concern while watching American Teen whether it's really fly-on-the-wall or not, but it can be said with some certainty these are real high schoolers facing real choices and issues in their lives, and their anxiety over future plans feels real. American Teen doesn't overly sentimentalise its material, and even with its pre-credits wrap-up of what the teens ended up doing, it shows that not everybody succeeds in their endeavours, and high school isn't always the best time of everybody's lives.

Thorne W (es) wrote: Terrible acting, ridiculous plot, and a very forgettable villain. The only remotely entertaining thing about this movie is the un-intentional mistreatment of the blind kid.

Tim C (br) wrote: Includes the greatest montage in the history of american cinema.

Lee M (ca) wrote: Abrahamson's penetrating film asks - and does not answer - whether one viciously criminal moment is an aberration, or whether it reveals the weak, shabby person who was there all along. Mr. Reynor's portrayal of this man-child is an extraordinary screen performance in which his face registers all the conflicting emotions gripping Richard. We see every layer of him, from the scared inner child to the suave, entitled ladies' man.
