Zeeshan M (fr) wrote: the film's a nearly decent if not entirely satisfying introduction to the character i call "the ann coulter of the left."its enjoyable but probably only belongs in the libraries of zizek completists and fanatics. [i'm] indifferent to whether it should be recommended or not bit is zizek yelling at someone about the complaints of being dogmatic about lacan while few following derrida are dogmatic about him but are not criticised for it. it also sums up the film for me. a collection of inadequate but interesting responses from an interesting fellow.

Jennifer B (es) wrote: A fantastic portrait of Adolf and Max Rothman as artists. Interesting insight into Adolf's struggle as an artist and how he was influenced towards his political agenda. Interesting study on ethics!!! Went into this movie not knowing anything about it and came out completely impressed.

Dean I (gb) wrote: There are layers upon layers to this film - it works on many different levels and touches on various difficult issues from the margins of society. They are all dealt with in a "matter-of-fact" way, leaving the viewers to make our own judgments. I have seen three or four Almodovar films, and this is so far my favourite.

Terry F (es) wrote: Pretentious crap. The amazing thing is that the director felt Thora Birch was so much more interesting than Scarlett Johansson. Really a waste of 2 hours.

Ryan J (de) wrote: saw this ad nauseum after i 1st saw it one night when staying at my uncles place. i found it hilarious as i was only about 12 and had no idea who mr dangerfield was. if i watched it now it would be mildly funny. though the gag at the start tellin the trucker he is a disease is still quite hilarious.

Bryan M (kr) wrote: Harmless, likable and lightweight musical based on a Broadway play, this was the first major movie role for singer Frank Sinatra. Some nice songs include "A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening," "Come Out Wherever You Are," "I Saw You First," "I Couldn't Sleep a Wink Last Night" (an Oscar nominee) and "The Music Stopped." Received an Oscar nomination for Best Scoring of a Musical (C. Bakeleinikoff). The kick is seeing up-and-comer Mel Torme in a rare early film role, alongside Sinatra and Dooley Wilson (of "Casablanca" fame). Tin Man Jack Haley gets the star billing, though.
