Steve W (mx) wrote: Ghost in the Shell is back, baby! I have only seen the first two films and not Stand Alone Complex, but this action packed remake is solid. It does different things with the characters, and adds new ones. The storyline is trippy and very noir like, so its an enjoyable cyber punk reboot that can introduce new viewers to the franchise.

David D (ca) wrote: While Raising Helen has a very slow pace, an okay story and not so much character development, it is fueled up by wonderful performances by Kate Hudson, John Corbett, Joan Cusack, Hayden Panettiere, Spencer and Abigail Breslin, and a funny cameo by Larry Miller.

Matt C (nl) wrote: This has been on my 'Want to See' list for a long time and I really liked Cianfrance's other film 'The Place Beyond the Pines'...this didn't though I'm afraid quite hit the right notes for me. There are basically two films running parallel, one telling the story of how the central couple got together and another examining them now as their marriage falls apart. Perhaps it says more about me but I loved the romantic past story and was just completely uninterested in the marriage on the rocks one. The performances by Williams and Gosling are excellent but I felt it never really explained why they were struggling and as a result I lost interest. Still worth watching to make up your own mind though.

Robert C (it) wrote: All things considered...a very polished looking film. Based on the short story by Edgar Allan Poe. Vincent Price is delightfully morose as poor Verden Fell. A widower who (along with his new bride) is haunted by the memory(?) of his deceased(?) wife. One of the better Corman films in my opinion. Full of creepy fun, cheap scares and over the top acting. Oh and an omnipresent "FLYING" cat...can't forget the omnipresent flying cat!
