Ryan P (de) wrote: The style and look of this may be off-putting to some viewers, it pretty much looks like a home movie, but that low-budget and authentic aesthetic works extremely well. Melissa Leo is fantastic, and the script is excellent. I was completely engrossed from beginning to end.

The animals of the farm respect Ben and the farm runs in an affective, fun fashion where everyone makes the best of things. And when intruders alert, Ben comes to stop them. When an unfortunate accident occurs, Otis has to take over for his father. Otis' carefree personality will need to adjust for the flock to be safe."She's a cupcake. There's nothing for you there but I kind of like her friend."Steve Oedekerk, director of Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Nothing to Lose, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, and Smart Alex, delivers Barnyard. The storyline for this picture was entertaining and fun and reminded me a little of Chicken Run. The animation was cool and worked well with the content. The voices were well selected and include Courtney Cox, Kevin James, Danny Glover, Wanda Sykes, Sam Elliott, and Rob Paulsen."I could just eat your head clean off...I mean it's fun up here."This was recently added to the Netflix kid's movies so my daughter and I sat down and watched it. This was fairly well done and well paced. I wouldn't say this is a classic and worth adding to your DVD collection, but my daughter enjoyed it from beginning to end. I recommend viewing this once with your kids."I don't want a leader who licks themselves."Grade: C+
Aidan H (fr) wrote: This film was shelved for three years and one can see why. I think Pacino has tarnished his reputation enough and should be taken out and put down humanely before we forget all those great performances forever. 1 star for the elegance and beauty that is Kim Basinger.
Matt M (kr) wrote: The illegitimate son of an Italian businessman is taken in by a group of British women residing in Italy, and grows up with them. When Mussolini's Italy enters conflict, the women become prisoners of war. The interesting premise is actually drawn from the autobiographical story of the director's youth. However, the film is typically flawed and formulaic. It matters little hence that its cast of big names is impressive, and in fact makes the film feel more like a disappointment and a missed opportunity.

Owen C (ca) wrote: Sticks close to the source material, and yet has little in common with every other version. Bresson is not impressed with knights on a holy quest. He gives us a contemplation on betrayal and pride.
Jason D (au) wrote: While, at the time, the filmmakers and Toho production company may have taken this film very seriously, we have, instead, a very hilarious attempt at the Japanese interpretation of Dr. Frankenstein and his monstrous creation. Here, the heart of the monster is shipped away from Europe to Japan were experiments are conducted on it. As luck would have it, it too gets exposed to nuclear radiation and starts turning into a young Japanese boy Frankenstein, which continues growing and growing until finally escaping and causing all sorts of wacky shenanigans. Eventually we wind up seeing a giant man avert the tried and true Japanese war-toy machines until it has to fight a dinosaur, or something and it disappears. Incredibly strange Toho product, but dammit, it's an enjoyable one.

Anthony E (nl) wrote: Fun characters, enjoyable scenes, and with a twist towards the end for those who are not fond of the book adaptation, Murder on the Orient Express makes for a great detective-type film from the original source material.
Harper C (de) wrote: I'm not sure why it's such a low score. It was entertaining and thrilling
Jeff B (br) wrote: This movie seems radically unfocused. Eastwood continues to be interesting (playing essentially the same Western character he always plays), but Shirley MacLaine's character is baffling. Weird and not at all compelling Western.
