Logan B (gb) wrote: great visual as the thor dark world continues the marvel cinematic universe story with great performances and much more action than thor 1 alan Talylor knows how to blend in the comedy with the the troubles of an marvel god all while creating high stakes that marvel fans enjoy

K G (us) wrote: In terms of production, this movie does have a few issues (voice over was used for some reason; fight scenes are simplistic, special effects are low tech), but I found it all to be forgivable. The cast is clearly Canadian-accents-but they are endearing. The creativity of the film's makers is something to be admired. I never thought I would see punk priests, Jesus Christ, vampires, music numbers, & romance all the same movie. Surprisingly, all of the elements I listed work. The movie is great in it's outrageous plot, 90s wardrobe, lower production, and inherent professionalism. I loved it.

Jorel D (ca) wrote: This movie will always be one of my favorites! All with great performances!

Dion D (fr) wrote: An apology of sorts for The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth is a kind of hybrid of Alice in Wonderland, M.C. Escher and countless fairy tale tropes. The major issues are an unlikable protagonist and lapses into silliness in the third act that completely undermine the drama. But it's still a fun film with great moments and an iconic performance by David Bowie. Notable for the involvement of George Lucas, Labyrinth offers a preview of the flaws that were to plague the Star Wars prequels.

Linda E (au) wrote: This was a t.v. movie, I saw it way back in the day, it scared the crap out of me. It's a great movie, if you have never seen it, try to rent it, although it probably will be really hard to find. I found it on e-bay.

Robert B (kr) wrote: Johnny Depp gives a great characterization of Ed Wood as this cheerful, upbeat, persevering guy that you root for more than you laugh (or cringe) at. The filmmaking and storytelling are well-done, but make no particular impression. Watch Ed Wood mainly for the acting of Johnny Depp and Martin Landau.

Bill R (br) wrote: Coppola has a lot of masterpieces under his belt and this isn't great but not as terrible as everyone is letting off to be. Confusing a bit at times and some of the characters are under developed but it's a nice mixture of what happened and what's going on. Given a few things aren't answered leaves the film itself mysterious and the ending is a whole different thing. The directing was good and the dream state was nicely done. Not bad but not good either.
