Luke B (gb) wrote: Scattershot and hyperactive in a way only Japanese cinema can get away with, Party 7 is an enjoyable frantic mess. After a speedy animated introduction to 7 different characters, we are suddenly thrust into a narrative about some stolen money. As the man hides in a hotel room, he has no idea he is being watched by some professional peepers (one dressed in super-hero garb and calling himself Captain Banana). As people come looking for the money, the hotel room gets crowded, and twists are revealed. It's very claustrophobic, being set in just two rooms, which is painfully awkward given the over-the-top style. The humour is broad and weird. Funny and fun, even though I was disappointed that the image on the DVD case is nowhere to be found in the film :(

Tim M (gb) wrote: '12 Years a Slave' is an excellent adaptation of the book of the same name with tremendous acting, sharp directing, and a keen sense of direction. It's viciously violent and sad and all the things you would expect from the horrifying history of slavery in America.

Hugh J (br) wrote: I actually liked George Lazenby as Bond. He's not the best but he's damn good. Although the whole sequence where his voice is dubbed was just...not good. Other than that, he was great and every scene with him and the amazing Diana Rigg was just awesome. Diana Rigg really is the perfect Bond girl. I don't think any other Bond girl can wield a broken bottle at a nameless thug and make it work but she did. The fact that she began the movie as a girl trying to commit suicide and then transforms into the woman that Bond loved is just brilliant. The movie is a bit too long, just like 'Casino Royale' but like 'Casino Royale', there's plenty to like. The skiing, of course and the fights which were great at first but the fast motion cutting did get tiresome. The nods to past Bond films was a nice touch and I also loved the hat throw, especially at the end. All in all, it's an underrated, great film.

LA L (ag) wrote: A pretty decent, if not half baked, indie horror flick with very nice practical effects; a nice throwback to the 70s era. Has its flaws, mainly pacing, some odd performance choices, and the feeling as if the film could've invested more time in its story, characters, and suspense/scares.
