Sad yet heartwarming, the film follows these "actors" as they dress as superheros and pose with tourists for tips in front of Mann's Chinese Theater. Always inresting and endaering we follow these folks who, at the very least, have an optimisstic outlook on their quest for fame. Best of all, this Doc. just follows it's subjects and lets their world dictate the path of the film. It never tries to push any agenda, just that here are these unlikely and strange people moving through life in a way different than most of us. Christor Dennis (Superman) has slowly become a Hollywood Icon and as he says has, all of the Fame and none of the Fortune. Great Doc.

Chris W (us) wrote: Yeah, the synopsis Flixster has is definitely misleading. "Inventing the Abbotts" is basically a story about how lies and lust can affect families and everyone involved. Ultimately, it's about true forgiveness and how to move on after being hurt, and I liked that message.

Eric R (kr) wrote: A charming, quirky brilliantly scripted comedy that follows a bunch of scottish teenagers as they start to discover the appeal of the opposite sex. The film particularly follows Gregory a goofy, charming wise ass of a student who begins to fall for the new girl in school who happens to join the soccer team. He believes to be madly in love with her but his attempts for the most part fail. Its not a surprise that this film is highly regarded, its script perfectly captures the adolescent stage in peoples life where their hormones are a raging. The dialogue is charming and funny, while never feeling overly so. I think the ending of the film sums it all up quite well.
