It had a very strong made for t.v movie feel, however I loved the atmosphere it created. I find it odd that people often slam Agatha Christie. She was a very skilled writer, she wrote "And then there were None" which is in my top ten list of best books ever written. She was really good at setting a scene, however I will admit that for the most part she was kind of like Steinbeck. She brought in too many characters with no explanations about them. Which is why the best I listed above is her best, she had a small character list and her writing was flawless, that's one book I love to re-read. back to the movie, the acting is also quite good and it's well directed. If I was grading on a ten point scale I think this would get a 7.9. But I liked it, the guy that played Poirot was brilliant. A big problem with the film is the use of flashbacks, the cut-scenes are very awkward and it's very hard to tell which is a flashback and which isn't.
