Soheil W (it) wrote: Nice filming (has a bit of Sacrifice) but predictable ending. In the beginning of the movie (first 30 mins) I thought this a pretty cliched stuff but actually it is not!
D M (es) wrote: Ginormous skeeters attack campers in this cheesy horror flick. The bugs enlarge after feeding upon illegal aliens from outer space and are made very hard to kill. The effects are often better than what you'd expect in a film of this caliber, but the acting is drab with jokes falling flat b/c of poor delivery.

Chase is decent in the lead role but the biggest surprise was how cool some of the effects were. Watching an invisible man smoke is pretty badass in this movie.

Steve T (de) wrote: I first saw this movie Summer of 1989. 1) I cannot believe he got away with this in 1929. 2) I cannot believe they let us see this (as teenagers at Governor's School.) Oh, and here's a spoiler. What you think is real are just serious pioneerings into special effects. Buy the new DVD print from Amazon. Lots of good parallel docs on it included.
Aaron O (it) wrote: 1.0 The film had great potential to be a so bad it's good film, but sadly the film is treated with the utmost seriousness, and watching a mega shark fighting a giant octopus becomes surprisingly boring. The films not even bad enough to be unintentionally funny, and that's saying something.
John R (ca) wrote: 170205: Thought provoking. A look into the uniquely difficult life of Jolene (Jessica Chastain) as she bounces from man to man in pursuit of happiness. This film had me thinking. Is there fault to be found in Jolene's behaviour, decision making or is she a victim to her own spirited nature? Jolene's seemingly mess of a life had me examining my own and the world around me. This is an often uncomfortable film that provokes introspection. Enjoyed it.
