Travis H (au) wrote: It's tonally schizophrenic and seems to be trying to say more than it ever manages to. Still, it's harrowing enough, often enough, to qualify as a functional thriller, and as always, Phillippe has real presence.

Kshitij B (jp) wrote: A heartbreaking, bittersweet story of an old man's dream - how it is shared by those who know and love him, and how it is shattered by circumstance. Scenic, funny, and sometimes surreal, the movie and its haunting music (mostly in the backdrop) make it one of the better movies I have seen lately.

Siri B (ru) wrote: A film you'll either love or hate, this is a hilarious cockney zombie flick. Need I say more?

John B (us) wrote: I'm a big fan of this film. It's different. Turn your brain off and enjoy. It's got elements of Noir. It's got some fun sequences and dialogue, and while predictable, it's still fun. For me, I guess the resentment for this film comes from the fact it's not your stereotypical, modern, canned crap that fits into same cliche of all the other films in the last decade. Josh Hartnett, Woody Harrelson, Ron Perlman, and a couple other notables round out a good cast. It's not perfect, but for what it is and what it's suppose to be, it's very good.

Nikki F (mx) wrote: This would have made a good half-hour show, but as a full-length movie, it was too boring and repetitive. It needed less talking (interviews) and more about the logistics/science of making the cable wire work.

Sarita G (jp) wrote: When your love interest is more charming and interesting and has more personality tub your main character; you have a problem. But Dakota Skye has a meaningful message and asks a question I'll be thinking over all night. It also has a satisfying ending. So let me ask you, would you rather be face down falling off a cliff knowing the end is coming or face up enjoying the rise until the end surprises you?

rafael t (br) wrote: an interesting premise that fails to deliver, and proves to be boring pretty soon, only saw about 45 minutes an then right to sleep...

bill s (ca) wrote: Well done thriller with great performances and interplay between Eastwood and Malkovich.

Altered E (mx) wrote: Western audiences may be deceived by the title, but this is indeed a zombie movie, though also not a Western zombie movie. Blending love story, horror, and kung fu tropes, it may sound like this Cantonese flick can't settle on a consistent tone, yet it always falls back on humourous, if not self-aware. Still, what passed as light-hearted kids jokes in '85 in HK now comes off as flat-out offensive, making the more egregious examples of swearing in the English subs all the more unexpected and accidentally hilarious. While the story is indeed overlong, it never grows boring, with plenty of diversion and good overcranked photography to showcase the graceful fight choreography for which the HK scene is known.

Adam W (de) wrote: I enjoyed this film. Richard Harris stole the spotlight and the action scenes were amazing, including the end. A second viewing opened my eyes to this film. The pacing was just right for this story and the cinematogrophy was gorgeous. Sam Peckinpah was misunderstand and underappreciated. This film is brilliant.

Thomas K (us) wrote: Even dumber and more fun than the original, if you can wrap your head around that.

David L (gb) wrote: Young Adult does have a very disappointing third act, but everything else that came before it is great with superb characters, excellent issues well explored here, some very dramatic scenes and some emotional ones as well. It also has a terrific performance from Charlize Theron and it is such a good, realistic dramedy.
