Alain R (au) wrote: I didn't really know what to expect from this movie at all. I love sci if but this movie explores the trials of the mind in solitude. The main actor in the film does an amazing job throughout. I loved it!

Richard C (br) wrote: All I was expecting was some awful cheesy fun. Android Apocalypse couldn't even muster up some laughable dialogue, leaving you in agony for the 90 minute runtime.
Peter B (kr) wrote: this movie wasn't terrible, but it wasn't amazing either. i really liked the cinematography and the overall look and mood of the film, but the story and pacing just didn't do it for me. personally i don't think Brendan Fraser worked as this character. he seemed to maniacal. Mos Def did a fantastic job though and came close to saving the entire movie. probably worth watching once, but not the kind of movie that would be good for repeat viewings.
Ryan V (ag) wrote: Perkins still does a good job in his signature role in this final trip to the Bates Motel. It's a more than passable ending to the series proper, with nice supporting work from Henry Thomas (young Norman) and Olivia Hussey (non-mummified Mother).

Ethan P (jp) wrote: Eyes Wide Shut as intoxicating. The undertow of the film was dark and brooding, but the luminescent lighting and creative camera movement through hallways and rooms gave the film a glamorous, but sinister mood. The envious and angry energy that drives this story of sexual jealousy is powerful. I also thought it was mystifying how Tom Cruise wants desperately to cheat on his wife for revenge and everyone he meets is attracted to him, but he never has sex with any of them. The orgy scene was very creepy, but powerful, and Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman have some weird lines, but overall give pretty rich performances. There are some plot holes and inconsistencies, but the chilling conclusion where his friend reveals almost everything to him is especially strong because we don't know if we can trust his version or not.

Frances B (es) wrote: no. just no. there was a point in making this movie: swanberg attempts to explore how communication technology affects (prevents) real-life communication. but the camera work was atrocious and it seems like he ignored so many aspects of film that could've helped him prove his point. ack! sucks though, because i wanted to like it. i enjoyed the bits of columbia culture presented in chris and greta's relationship (blue java, 1 train, citibank/columbia card...) but no amount of hand closeups can save this film
Andrew M (kr) wrote: Paul Blart: Mall Cop is hilarious and adventurous. This is one of Kevin James' best movies yet. I would very much suggest this movie.
