Nilufer R (us) wrote: It was pretty funny actually but not as good as all my friends exaggerated, Demet Akbag is one of the funniest actresses in Turkey.

Jeff B (ag) wrote: Sexually charged for sure. Only Tinto Brass could make watching one woman naked over the course of a movie not lose its luster. Of course when that woman is Anna Jimskaia it's not too hard.

Barry T (gb) wrote: quirky but a little slow.

Steve S (ru) wrote: It's an indie flick that If I were an actor, would wish every other independent movie would turn out like and would be so worth my time filming in between big money motion picture deals.Such a real performance by David Schwimmer along with an authentic plot that could only be written by someone who has been there and done that. This indie picture is worth it and was a solid effort by everyone involved.

Steven G (de) wrote: It knows exactly what it wants to spoof, but instead of presenting the flaws of teen films in a humorous way; it instead hammers us over the head with its message, reciting teen movie cliches in a witless and mirthless manner. And when it does try to be funny, it's too gross to land.

Dan W (us) wrote: Not consistently good or funny all the way through, but worth a few chuckles.

Steve W (mx) wrote: This film is about levity, censorship, politics, and a whole lot more. Its a different kind of war film, not about gory battle scenes but about morale and trust. Robin Williams is solid, and is backed by a good cast of allies and over the top military assholes. Its not amazing, but worth a look.

TonyPolito (nl) wrote: Caught this as a TCM wee-hours double feature on Halloween along with 1963's "Blood Feast," this film's immediate directorial predecessor. Better production value and far less blood/gore than the latter. Still it was surely pretty gory for drive-in goers in 1965. A pack of over-the-top, campy swamp-goobers who haven't really forgotten "The War of North-dern Aggression" and 'dem murderin' Yankee carpet-baggers snag some seriously century-overdue payback off of some incredibly gullible Yankee tourists passing through town. As with "Blood Feast," the film's best recommendation is its historical value as starter for the slasher film genre - as well as the 'stranger wanders into CreepyTown' setup. This is a film to which "Friday 13th" et. al. are strongly indebted. Draws loosely upon the plot of "Brigadoon." Filled with a score of authentic 1920ish mountain music that adds a realistic creepiness, most notably a rendition of "The South's Gonna Rise Again." RECOMMENDATION: There's little doubt this film gets an annual screening, as cause for a major kegger, in every fraternity house throughout the Deep South.

Mya G (fr) wrote: WWII-era musical most notable for Gene Kelly's big-screen debut as a shady, morally ambiguous vaudevillian who teams up with an effervescent Judy Garland. A kaleidoscope of classic song and dance numbers is strung together with a cliched but charming plot. Great nostalgic entertainment.
