Les Misérables torrent reviews

Vaughan M (gb) wrote: The cinematography in this film is beautiful, the protagonist is an original and intriguing mess of a man that has nothing to lose, and the acting is uniformly brilliant. Not to mention I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Hard to find a better indie film than this one.

Serge L (nl) wrote: I'm not sure how to classify this one. Hilarious moments. Boring moments. Shocking moments. Sexy moments. Depressing moments. The film seems to be a moquerie of films and cinephiles. The hero girl is like a lazy bum, psychopathic and lucked out by having a revered dad. But she doesn't care for much. It works as a comedy, a bit insane on the edge. Philosophically, the film does not hold water. It is materialism that doesn't care. It is psychopathy imitating passion to soil it. It is the very nature of the english invasion.

Ralph R (nl) wrote: Lewis Black never was, never is, and never will be funny.

linda k (ru) wrote: Not actually based on the real capturing of Richard ramirez, its a fictionalised account and its stupid and made up about some Hispanic female cop1 Who cares!!

Katie S (fr) wrote: Totally not as good as the first one but, it did keep your interest. The cast was good but, I've seen better.

Leonard D (es) wrote: Gollum stole the show, and the film should've won best picture, but I kinda understand why it didn't! One gripe I have, however, is having the character Faramir nearly giving into the rings power. After that, making him take Frodo, Sam, and Gollum to Osgiliath, which was not in the book. As far as I'm concerned, the writers should have kept them in Ithilien, as was written in the original story! But still, this is a timeless sequel!

Adrian B (ca) wrote: Tremendously dated movie in which William Holden plays a hobo or vagabond that travels to small town in Texas to meet up with friend (Cliff Robertson), only to be wooed by his woman (Kim Novak). All the girls yearn for the new man in town, believing his hokum stories of his past life. In a subplot, a teacher (Rosalind Russell) is the girlfriend of drunken nut (Arthur O'Connell). Hard to understand that films like "Rebel Without a Cause" or "To Catch a Thief" or "The Night of the Hunter" were ignored for a nomination of Best Picture over this. The script is downright embarrassing at times and the acting is so juvenile and dull. Ranks among the worst nominees of any such Academy Award.

Samantha S (it) wrote: The books are awesome...

Rosco B (au) wrote: Late entry into "Enter The Dragon" director Bob Clouse's kung fu canon. Absolute balderdash of course, but this was one of the first films I ever saw drunk. It was on late-night TV and I convinced myself so much of its brilliance I spent ages trying to track it down on VHS. Lessons to be learned, Rosco Bear. Another fact: blonde-mulleted lead Kurt Thomas received a Razzie for "Worst New Star" for his efforts in this gumph. Good shout.

Wrik S (de) wrote: a very well crafted thriller, but acting wasnt the best... however, well put together..

Codie E (au) wrote: A bizarre and very self contained film, that didn't quite work for me because the central characters are horrible; selfish and delluded and without any connection it is hard to really care for the narrative of the film.

Faley A (fr) wrote: One of the most ridiculously funny comedy have seen so far ! Two of the most memorable pragmatic but at a time ludicrous character Lt. Cmdr. Matt T. Sherman' & Lt. JG Nicholas Holden played by two very best actors are in this movie. Hilarious , don't miss it !

Jon C (kr) wrote: the film that sparked the whole crazy-nanny genreits seriously effed up watching a deranged, psychotically and emotionally-damaged person go to so many lengths just to have a family of her ownit's quite a saddening parallel of events occurring to both people: one woman goes into labor but after finally coming forth about her gynecologist's inappropriate behavior, the wife of the doctor also goes into labor but sadly her newborn baby ends up dying around the same time he commits suicide after not being able to face answering for his crimes and having his career being destroyed on the one hand you feel happy for the couple, their young daughter and their newborn babybut at the same time it's depressing that the other woman lost both her husband and her babyso as a result she hatches a plan to go after all the women whom have made similar complaints but save the most recent one for lastthus we have our plot for the film about De Mornay posing as a nanny in order to get close to this unsuspecting family and partake in her own form of revengethe other neat addition here is Ernie Hudson playing a mentally-challenged home-renovator he's actually very likeable just trying to do his job but he does suspect the nanny every so often of her unusual behaviorthe couple remains oblivious and it becomes very disturbing and unsettlingRebecca de Mornay's performance is really mind-boggling and there's a scene where she completely loses itit's pretty understandable seeing her rage because of all that she's lost but pretty intimidating knowing that at any moment she will attack without a noticethe film is very-well acted, sinister, deceivingly creepy, and off-puttingit's what the loss of family and everything you hold dear does to someone'the hand that rocks the cradle holds the most power', the same can be said for the one with the power over familythis movie is home invasion at its most lethal yet tense-filled best
