Lessons of Darkness

This film shows the disaster of the Kuwaitian oil fields in flames. In contrast to the common documentary film there are no comments and few interviews. What must have been the hell itself is presented to the viewer in such beautiful sights and beautiful music that one has to be fascinated by it.

Heather M (jp) wrote: This was a little slow, but overall an entertaining movie. The dance in the desert was beautiful and totally made up for the dramatic slower moments.

Eric P (ag) wrote: it may not be great but it has laugh and it is fun to see The Big Show in some of the no fight scene of the film

Zach M (nl) wrote: For a movie about teenagers trying to solve a minor mystery, it really was fairly enjoyable.

Jally J (nl) wrote: nice animation, but... its a musical :S, and i didn't quite understand all they are saying, probably need subtitles, although it was in english

Fred E (mx) wrote: To me it was not good at all but if you want to watch it rent it.

Russell H (mx) wrote: pretty funny, only because I'm a wrestling fan. Other than that, it's pretty stupid.

Loren H (mx) wrote: If I had to sum this film up in two words, I would say "mean spirited." Damn, this movie sucked. The cast sucked, the story sucked, and the "pay-off" left me feeling very pissed off!!!I rarely ever say this about films, but $#&% this movie!

Peter H (gb) wrote: Well-charactered and thoughtful, West Beirut makes conflict in Palestine accessible to apathetic, teenage, American audiences like me.

Zac B (gb) wrote: An outstanding film and fitting end to the service of Star Trek's first crew. The film weaves a plot made up of action, mystery, diplomacy, and hope. Like any great Trek venture, the film does good to include the USS Enterprise herself as an important "character" in the telling of this story. To me, it is the greatest of all Star Trek's films and one of my favorite movies of all time.

Alessandro S (jp) wrote: You surely have seen the thought provoking and potentially disturbing drawings of Robert Crumb somewhere. Even if you haven't or you don't care, this orthodox documentary tells the story of the unorthodox Crumb brothers, three talented misfits with a vein of mental illness.

Derek F (es) wrote: MI6 agents dressed up as clowns running around chasing a Faberge egg owned by terrorists. That's definitely a statement, and the grandiosity of the circus climax (as well as all of the action preceding it) is unmatched. Despite all of the camp elements, the plot is more believable and Moore's Bond is genuinely concerned about innocent lives. Perhaps if Octopussy came out earlier in the Moore era, it would've made a bigger splash.
