Honestly though it was a bit slow and boring though so i had to watch it on x2x4 speed alot of the way through, just to get through it.

Jonathan S (ru) wrote: Oh dear. This is weak. It's not even nicely shot, plus a lot of the footage seems to have been digitally zoomed in post production which doesn't give it a sense of tension, it makes the whole film look really awful. With some really wonky camerawork, perhaps at the director's instruction, it tries to do that CSI/24 shaky-drama thing, especially early on, but just comes out looking like it was filmed by hyperactive 12 year olds. Although it does calm down in the last third of the picture. A bit. The music score does it's best to hold the film together, although to be fair even John Williams couldn't have saved this. No chemistry, no story, no reason, just no.
Kevin S (jp) wrote: This movie which I guess is based upon a book is about a women who finds out her boyfriend cheated on her with his ex wife. She puts an add in the paper to share her apartment with another female because she does not want to be alone. She ends up with hedie who we learn has a somewhat dark past and as soon as Allie gets back together with her boyfriend hedie learns shes going to be kicked out and doesn't like to be alone and does what she can to prevent that even if it means doing whatever it takes. This is a pretty good edge of your seat thriller with top notch performances from both Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh. I thought the movie had an interesting concept. You kinda of feel for both characters because they pretty much have the same problem of not wanting to be all alone and wanting someone to be with them. Both characters are vulnerable with that. Though killing someone's not the answer. You kinda feel bad for hedie because Allie treated her like a friend and then as soon as she got back with her boyfriend she kinda treated hedie like she was a pest. I'm not anti gay bashing but I'm wondering if there was a little lesbian love between the two because you kinda of get that feeling with a few scenes. And there is a lot of nudity scenes too. I enjoyed this movie. I thought the story had a good concept and it was performed brilliantly with great acting. It was also a good thriller movie too.

Hikaru I (ag) wrote: Lame, very lame. Didn't expect much out of it in the first place but the acting could have at least been consistent. I really hated the detective and his wife and wished they both had died in the end. Blah!
James H (es) wrote: 75/100. For whatever reason, the combination of director Michael Curtiz and Errol Flynn always works. This is very much a flag waving propaganda film, and it is done very well. Some great cinematography, and color too, Max Steiner's score is very well done. Well cast, Fred MacMurray is more effective than he usually is and Errol Flynn is always a pleasure to watch. It is a bit overlong.
