A comedy musical based on the comic strip charcters created by Al Capp. When residents of Dogpatch, USA are notified by the government that they must evacuate because of atomic bomb testing, they try to persuade the government that their town is worth saving. Meanwhile, Earthquake McGoon wants to marry Daisy Mae; Daisy Mae wants to marry Li'l Abner, and Li'l Abner just wants to go fishing.

However - I like "zombie" flicks and this one packs a decent plot, decent acting (even from Dolph!) and tons of action making this an entertaining one. In almost every aspect this movie actually qualifies for more than just a B rating, but I simply hate some of the deliberately shaky camerawork and some of the angles (probably to save money on special effects?). Well done on a low budget though. All-in-all not a bad movie if you like this sorta stuff - and I do. For a "zombie flick" this is actually way better than average...

Reviewers who concentrate on the lack of contemporary artistic content fail to recognise that this is not a serious film but a continuation of a highly successful show which brings a smile to your face and gives you a laugh. Its not going to win any Oscars but its a good watch!
