Chris M (de) wrote: The best movie I've seen in a long time

Farah R (ca) wrote: There's a few good horror elements in Twixt, but asides from that and the good visual effects, there's no real narrative and after an hour it becomes unwatchable.

Tom D (de) wrote: This movie has a really bad script. The characters are not well written, there seems to be no reason for a lot of their actions. The special effects in the final scene come across as cheesy. The actors do the best they can with this material. Definitely skip this lackluster drama.

Jona X (nl) wrote: I was so disappointed when I heard the release date was pushed to January 2008. Oh well.

Bryan D (jp) wrote: It was great, not in the sense that it grabbed you and pulled you in, but that it was real enough to show you what life is like. An excellent film, definitely worth picking up.

Mek Y (nl) wrote: I love surreal and magic realism films but this just made my head hurt literally.

Marcin N (mx) wrote: Disney's beginning of XXI century is thought to be the era of its decline. Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise's "Atlantis - The Lost Empire" somehow accounts for that statement - but only somehow, since it rather proves that Disney, even at the shrink of its filmmaking shape, can come up with worthy releases. The movie follows the story of Milo Thatch, a clumsy, but clever linguist trying to prove the existence of the all-time legend - the Atlantis. Due to a rather rushed beginning, we can learn very little before we set off to the soon-to-be unforgettable adventure - only that, you guessed it, nobody really believes Milo who is thought to be just as moonstruck as his deceased grandfather. To avoid further spoilers, I'll be straight - the movie has its ups and downs. When it comes to character creation, the pace of action and the dialogues it shines brighter than Atlantis' crystal. The movie falls short, however, in terms of plot consistency, further development of well-introduced characters and the animation - the latter simply hasn't changed that much since 1990, marking 10-years-period of developmental stagnation. "Atlantis..." is also predictible as heck and doesn't try to be way too out of the adventure-movies mould -passionate scientist overwhelmed by his money-thirsty comrades? We've heard that before, Disney. Harsh though it may sound, it doesn't change the fact I enjoyed watching "Atlantis...", simply because it's not a bad movie. It just feels more like it deserves a bronze medal in the animated releases competition - and that, considering Disney is its definitive favourite, leaves the audience slightly disappointed.

Angela M (de) wrote: This movie was great. He was just completely misunderstood in so many ways.

Matthew V (de) wrote: The first movie to introduce me to "indy" cinema. I think I still remember all the dialogue.

Mark P (ag) wrote: Classic nihilistic teen gang exploitation joint. Has the famous "that ain't nothin compared to the rush that you get when you're killing someone man" rant that you may have heard sampled on several grindcore records.

Eric R (mx) wrote: Bob is a well respected gambler who is know throughout town. He is suave and sophisticated, and is even good friends with the chief of police. When Bob's luck runs out and he begins to go on a long losing streak, he pulls together some gangster to attempt a heist at the casino. Its no wonder that PTA has stated that Sydney in Hard Eight was modeled after Bob Le Flabeur. His attitude and demeanor are irresistible and whenever he is on screen I found myself paying complete attention. The film is shot in a Noir style with shadowing thta really pulls you into this world. Lots of suave gangster talk mixed with French New Wave sensibilities with the enigmatic young female in tact. You gotta love how this film ends too.

P N (us) wrote: Want to waste your time? Get depressed? Wish you had rotten tomatoes to throw? ...then go to the theater to see this movie.Horrible is one word to sum it up. The movie could have been so much better if made by someone with imagination and the guts to complete what was an OK start. Instead, the audience is dragged into a depressing back and forth between past and present of Ranbir Kapoor's character. We have to endure repeat, repeat of a sad saga (we are not stupid), get on with it, and get to a point. Make it entertaining, or riveting - that is what a movie is supposed to be.We came home drained, exhausted and disgusted. What a waste of resources and time. A R Rahman seems to have lost his touch or may be when he saw the movie, he did not put in any effort, since it would have been a waste of his time and energy. To sum it up, if there was a way to give negative rating, I would.

Liliane S (ru) wrote: The themes of juvenile delinquency and conflicts between generations are involved here. The entire movie is relatively dramatic.
