Live from Baghdad

A group of CNN reporters wrestle with journalistic ethics and the life-and-death perils of reporting during the Gulf War.A Directors Guild Award-winning movie for director Mick Jackson, starring Michael Keaton and Helena Bonham Carter. In 1990, CNN was a 24-hour news network in search of a 24-hour story. They were about to find it in Baghdad. Veteran CNN producer Robert Wiener and his longtime producing partner Ingrid Formanek find themselves in Iraq on the eve of war. Up against the big three networks, Weiner and his team are rebels with a cause, willing to take risks to get the biggest stories and - unlike their rivals - take them live at a moment's notice. As Baghdad becomes an inevitable US target, one by one the networks pull out of the city until only the crew from CNN remains. With a full-scale war soon to be launched all around them, and CNN ready to broadcast whatever happens 24 hours a day, Wiener and Formanek are about to risk their lives for the story of a lifetime.

Chantal M (it) wrote: After the great reviews I expected more from this movie. After all, it did not transmit much of the depth that such a theme could have. Besides the registration of facts, not much more is given to me - and those were not new... Actress is good, anyway.

Paul D (ag) wrote: While this is certainly not in the best of the best category for animated films, it is still funny, and aesthetically pleasing enough to be worth watching at least once. Loved the voice work from Robin Williams in this one!

When they return, their town appears to have been invaded by Asians. They band together to try and discover what is happening and survive the situation to ensure they are not captured also. "You shall not pass!"Stuart Bettie, director of I, Frankenstein delivers Tomorrow, When the War Began. The storyline for this picture is very straightforward but fun to watch unfold. The characters are pretty good, though frustrating at times, and the script was average. The acting was poor and the cast includes Caitlin Stasey, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Lincoln Lewis, Phoebe Tonkin, and Chris Pang. "She wasn't much older than I was but she was just as scared."We were scrolling through Netflix pictures and decided to give this one a shot. The characters were just okay and really lacked the depth to grab the audience. The script was just okay but the action scenes and drama were well presented. Overall, this is a very average picture that isn't a waste of time."Hell was the only place for us now."Grade: C
