Hrant B (nl) wrote: This was a good action packed movie, it reminded me of Desperado meets The Siege. It was fun to watch and it seems like we have found the new Salma Hayek in Yvette. Definitely worth renting once.

Plain C (it) wrote: this film tried making the witch look like a strong leader which in a way she was(for her own people) but missed out on all her fucked up pedo best mate fuckery. Tory propaganda but know your enemy right?

Jenny Z (ag) wrote: Firstly I have to point out that I watched a dub and not a sub. Dubs are ALWAYS iffy and a bit off. Nevertheless this movie was really a really fun, action-packed trip. Next time I'm watching it with a drinking game - drink every time some glass is smashed.

Joe R (ag) wrote: Watched this for the first time in a long time and it confirmed my earlier perception - this has the cinematic pacing and perspective of a security camera video.

Andrew L (us) wrote: good story about returning soldiers from iraq with a good cast well worth the time to watch.

Ruben M (es) wrote: Big band at its best, we will never see the likes of Glenn Miller again.

David R (au) wrote: A good easy watch for those a lot younger than me.

Cornell W (it) wrote: Not bad for a Disney movie.

Eric H (us) wrote: This movie did not get much screen time and no publicity and so very few people have heard of it. But it is actually a true story. There were these two whack jobs who robbed and humiliated the mafiosi at their recreational clubs. As to be expected, it does not end well for the intrepid pair. How and why anyone would decide to do something as harebrained as hitting on some of the most dangerous felons in the world is a story worth telling and watching. The performances were decent. It was evident that everyone involved in this project thought that it was a movie worth their time and effort.

Erin M (de) wrote: This movie is as beautiful as it is strange. It is the rare nuanced exploration of sexuality, and it feels almost gender blind though the cast is completely female. Neither exploitative nor coy, the movie explores what is at the heart of nearly every intimate relationship. What is one partner willing to sacrifice in order to meet the needs of the other? The imagery is weird and the narrative flow is intentionally disjointed, but the themes are universal.

Mloy X (jp) wrote: Arthur Bannister (Everett Sloane): So money doesn't interest you, are you independently wealthy? Michael O'Hara (Welles): I'm independent. Arthur Bannister (Everett Sloane): Of money? This movie had a good premise, the story was interesting, unfortunately the whole ensemble's acting left so much to be desired; maybe with the exception of Hayworth, who was brilliant (up until the last scene where she pleads with Michael not to leave her because she afraid to die-- that was exceptionally bad acting); but the poor performance from the rest of the cast killed any chance of me taking this movie seriously. Orson Welles may be a brilliant actor and director but he couldn't pull off an Irish brogue to save his life and his futile attempt in this film was laughably bad at best. It was so God-awful, it was almost intolerable. But as uncharacteristically bad as Welles' acting was, it still was not as terrible as Glenn Anders' performance, who plays the potential murder victim, George Grisby. Anders was so horrible and so God-awfully hammy, one wonders who he bribed or blackmailed to get a prominent starring role in this movie. Did Welles lose a bet with him? Overall, this movie was just too weird and not even weird in a good way, nor was it mystery-science, funny-weird where you can still enjoy watching it. This movie was a chore to watch; so much so that it was physically painful to have to sit through it and so disheartening because Hayworth and Welles were both capable and talented actors normally. But this was just too out there for me to appreciate what Welles was trying to do with it. I don't think Welles even knew where he wanted to go with this film.
