Lost Horizon

British diplomat Robert Conway and a small group of civilians crash land in the Himalayas, and are rescued by the people of the mysterious, Eden-like valley of Shangri-la. Protected by the mountains from the world outside, where the clouds of World War II are gathering, Shangri-la provides a seductive escape for the world-weary Conway.

A plane crash delivers a group of people to the secluded land of Shangri-La -- but is it the miraculous utopia it appears to be? . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Adam N (ag) wrote: Though it sometimes gets too boggled down on social commentary and an abundance of characters, the stellar animation and dark and grittier tone more than make up for it, making Batman The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 a satisfying, if not flawless, ending to a very, very entertaining story.

Jordan J (ru) wrote: The sniff thing didn't really work. I don't know why but this just wasn't as good as the others.

David A (kr) wrote: Hilarious comedy about the absurdity and hypocrisy of the religious right's "agenda" :) against gays in a small Texas town called Liberty Hills. Although funny and hilarious, this admittedly small budget film could have spent just a little more time in the edit room. Some parts seem more realistic than others and that is because, especially the beginning funeral scene, had a deeper meaning for writer/director Paul Bright. It was actually a true memorial to his late partner Tim Jones who had worked with him on this film. In fact, he changed the script after his partner's death. There is an approximate 10 minute segment in the middle that is very hard to follow. I could not figure out whether the main character Guy, played by Mathew Burnett, was dreaming, wishing, or the events actually were taking place and the editing was out of place.Giving this 3 stars gives the Writer the benefit of the doubt. Also, I din't want the reputation of being one of his "bitter queens with an axe to grind." It also gets 3 stars due to it looks like all the cast had a great time making this very low budget film. If you like "drag queen" comedy, a decent story line (that could have been fleshed out just a little bit more), and love seeing Bible Thumpers getting cought with their pants down, you will enjoy this flick!

Mandeep S (br) wrote: A tight & constant paced script was the highlight of the film. The use of chaos theory was good too. Too bad i had to see this in Hindi. The pace of the film was too fast for my comfort and i believe this and average acting made a big dent in the overall experience of the movie.

Justin M (kr) wrote: Although not very original in that it seems like since 2004 there has been a rash of films with intertwining and connected story lines (11:14, The Air I Breathe, Normal). This doesn't prop itself above those by any means but for the shear fact that the stories to connect and they are centered around fire arms makes for an entertaining watch. Having Forest Whitaker can't hurt none either. This isn't a bullseye but it still hits the mark.

Anthony W (gb) wrote: Better than people make it out to be and a soundtrack that's incredibly catchy.

Colin G (gb) wrote: Shockingly bad film. Any other film starring such luminaries as Donald Pleasence and Tom Baker would have been fantastic, but this film just sucks rotten eggs. Poor special effects, weird lighting and no real plot other than mad scientist wants to breed plant men. Waste of time.

Larry S (fr) wrote: One of the best movies I've seen. The movie takes the viewer through a variety of absurd situations that might befall someone put in an awkward situation of trying to understand life. It had me laughing and crying within the first 5 minutes, and kept me going from beginning to end. Great musical score by Cat Stevens too.

Phillip D (ag) wrote: The Spectacular Now is a great example of a film that I heavily anticipated and enjoyed on the first viewing but has really aged poorly. Looking back on it, The Spectacular Now is well acted and well put together but it's painfully generic in terms of plot and there is nothing terribly gripping about the performances. Frankly, everything plays out precisely as you would expect, making for an unlikely second viewing. It turns out that The Spectacular Now might just be spectacularly average.
