Kathryn S (ag) wrote: Sweet and entertaining .....

Brett H (us) wrote: MacGruber is the hysterical big-screen adaptation of the SNL character, played brilliantly by funny-man, Will Forte which is a play on the super-spy, MacGyver with the difference being that MacGruber is an idiot and his inventions make no sense! The story follows MacGruber getting a team together to battle his arch nemesis, Dieter Von Cunth...(the joke writes itself), played perfectly by Val Kilmer who's clearly having a blast being a part of the madness. The film also stars Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillippe as MacGruber's back-up team after something tragic, but hilarious, happens to the last team, and they bring a great dynamic to the proceedings. This is the directorial debut of SNL alum and Lonely Island member, Jorma Taccone, who also co-wrote the film, and his sense of comic timing and no-holds-barred, R-rated approach help elevate the material drastically. MacGruber is just plain FUNNY and for every joke that doesn't land, there's 3 or 4 more sight gags that really do, even if they are extremely immature. This is one of the best SNL-adapted films to date, in the same company as Wayne's World, A Night at the Roxbury, and The Blues Brothers and if you don't laugh at the cemetery sex scene...we can't be friends.

Frdric B (fr) wrote: Une sorte de "La vrit si je ment" mais avec un seul acteur/ralisateur/homme tout faire... Bref, je n'ai pas aim du tout, part la blague de la "Carte Vitale Gold"...

Yanira D (us) wrote: Recommended! Veery Good!

Linda M (ru) wrote: Interesting movie about the main character. Mostly liked the scenes with the first boy he gets intimate with.

Meagunn H (it) wrote: Uncomfortable comedy and touching relationships. I wanted to punch the fat lady and give Zhao a big hug when it was all over, and Xiao Wu should have been honored with a parade, which goes to show how powerful the characters and settings in this film are when one can get so wrapped up in them so quickly. Another wonderful effort by Zhang Yimou.

Staush P (kr) wrote: I wish I could give this movie a 6th star.

Stamatia S (us) wrote: Worst movie ever. I wanted to cry.

Kameron W (gb) wrote: Proof that George Lucas can direct a great movie that isn't Star Wars or a Sci-Fi flick.

Roger R (fr) wrote: Dark psycholigical drama rarely gets better than this

Andy A (us) wrote: After watching this comedic joyful musical, you'll be singing and dancing away. Lloyd Bacon expertly directs this musical which has such classic catchy tunes as "Shuffle Off to Buffalo," "You're Getting to Be a Habit with Me," and the awesome title song. The film's story is also great because it's not about glamour, but about the grim reality of theater life presented by a huge cast filled with talented actors. The actors include George Baxter, Bebe Daniels, Ruby Keeler, George Brent and Ginger Rogers and Dick Powell in their big debuts, among others. They all give realistic and hilarious portrayals, as the stars are at the center of this classic musical!

Claire T (au) wrote: loved it, it was kinda different to the remake in 1998 but it was very good, want it on DVD, it starred Richard Attenborough, it was a great film, It starred Rex Harrison as Dr. John Dolittle

Jay B (kr) wrote: Wowza... this one is different. I cheer if for its camp, but jeer it for its acting.
