David L (gb) wrote: Madagascar is a mediocre film. It is not bad per say as it does have solid acting, a couple of funny lines and okay characters, but it is definitely not good either as the humor is too lazy, the story is way too familiar and predictable, some characters are annoying and it has probably the worst animation DreamWorks has ever put out. It is one of the company's worst films without a doubt.

David L (ru) wrote: Chicken Run has deft animation with a lot of detail, excellent characters with some being hilarious and the humor is top-notch, so clever and funny. The voice acting is also terrific and the movie is always charming and involving. It has some familiar parts and is too simplistic, but it is also very sophisticated in its execution with just phenomenal humor and great attention to detail. It is one of the very best Aardman films for sure.

Gabriel C (gb) wrote: Big Daddy is a harmless, good-natured effort from Adam Sandler.

Will S (ru) wrote: Although the plot is good and up until a third of the way through the movie you actually care, the last ten minutes are a bit of a waste of time, it looks cheap & and feels rushed.,...Love snipes but there is no substance here, was good for the good parts. Subsquently the opening scene + the cop humour about his apartment being tore down + the end remarks with him and the president are shaky!

George G (br) wrote: If this movie is even remotely true to the book, I want to know what everyone was smoking during the various processes it took to publish the book, decide it would be a good candidate for the big screen, writing the screenplay, deciding which actors to scar..er..star in the film, and then releasing this movie to the public.None of the characters in this movie are believable human beings. It's as if every scene *started out* as something straight forward, and then painstaking effort was taken to twist each one into bizarre, over-the-top, forced drama.Bastard son meets his 9 year old half sister for the first time? Of COURSE he wants to molest her then and 15 years later when he *happens* to be the soldier in charge of interrogating him.Suspicious of your wife having some kind of weird sexual attraction to your sister? Of COURSE that's something to worry about, and thus warrants banishing her from your life and threatening her with death if she ever comes around again.Every situation, and the way the characters reacted to them, had me facepalming or bursting out into laughter.

john h (fr) wrote: This was Brian De Palma's follow up to his critically and commercially disastrous adaptation of Tom Wolfe's THE BONFIRE OF THE VANITIES which saw him return to his roots. The film is not quite up there with the director's best but it is a very stylish, genuinely gripping and playful tongur in cheek psycho thriller-De Palma having a good time and referring to his back catalogue.Performances are all good though in terms of the acting the film belongs to John Lithgow who is insanely good in the multiple roles. Not an essential film then but very good nonetheless and better than lot of other modern thrillers.

Lynda M (au) wrote: Hardly released and indeed almost unknown but a good thriller.

Clara V (au) wrote: It was a good movie. I love Norton as an actor. The movie was full of tension. The best scene was when Colin F is about to iron a baby's face. That scene was soo cruel. I was let down by the end of the movie. I don't know did Colin died? i don't know it just go from such an important to something pointless. It was okay. It is really similar to we own the night and the departed.
