Rendy S (fr) wrote: I miss this kind of movie, where two strangers became unlikely friend. Rebert De Niro is bounty hounter, after a lot of cheap job he's getting, he's ready for one final job before retirement. But this man he's trying to hunt is different kind of criminal, because he's an accountant. It's action movie slapped with 80's comedy, it's a lot of entertainment,

Caleb R (es) wrote: Imagine, if you will, that The Naked Gun, Hot Fuzz and the first part of Full Metal Jacket were rolled into a single film. Then, after that, all of the charm, great characters, well written humor and general fun was stripped from that movie. That is Police Academy in the nutshell.

James H (us) wrote: The excellent score, sets and costumes help this film immensely. Curiously uninvolving characters, in spite of the characters being developed well. It seemed longer than it was due to a few slow stretches. Well acted, good story.

Andy S (us) wrote: This is the good part of trying to see all of Brando's films -- there are a couple of really good ones in there. Well-acted, well-paced, beautifully photographed film.

Chad D (ru) wrote: My favorite of the original Elvis films, Blue Hawaii had such an entertaining soundtrack that I could care less what the plot line was.

Anti R (jp) wrote: Spielberg alternately makes a film with a big budget and a small budget. He painted a masterpiece out of the shoah and released a low budget film about the selling of African slaves. Is this unequal treatment not racist? From the beginning of the film, we see Africans capturing other Africans without explaining that without the demand of the whites the Africans would never have behaved like that. Then we show the good whites who take the defense of the black poor presented as incompetent idiots who can't defend themselves. In the end, the Americans are the good guys and the Spaniards the bad guys. It's racist. How many slaves were entitled to a trial? How many abolitionists in America, that will remain segregated for centuries? The truths are too numerous to adhere, even if the idea is good and some aspects of the horror of slavery are well treated (but not all and not enough).
