(mx) wrote: although the last hour has a good tense buildups the "scares" that come after always disappoint and with its slow pace grave encounters isn't exactly a good found-footage horror film but is still maybe worth a watch
(es) wrote: This movie was the bomb. I love some gratuitous abs, but Tiffany's hands are quite the little thespians. They stole the show for sure. I went into this movie wanting one thing: to see a giant demon fish eat a helicopter. I was not disappointed. 5 stars!

(mx) wrote: A movie worth watching.
(kr) wrote: This movie was much to slow and ridiculous to watch all the way through. There are much better adaptations of this story so I am going to pass on this one.

Engineer Victor Caroon (Richard Wordsworth) seems to be suffering from shock at first, but gradually it becomes clear something far more dangerous is happening. Hammer's 1955 sci-fi/horror tale seems inspired by Howard Hawks' "The Thing From Another World" (made four years earlier), and a precursor to Michael Crichton's "The Andromeda Strain". It's a fine concept, but the pacing and staid filmmaking dates poorly - modern viewers (even patient ones) may need a little more, and sooner. Still, there's some nice creepy moments, the finale still has some punch. and James Bernard's score is quite effective.
(fr) wrote: Great movie, I just watched it with my dad. Wayne's one liners in the film made me laugh pretty often, and the murder mystery intertwined with the western was done well.
(de) wrote: I didn't find this movie to be anything special. It had a good storyline and I think I enjoyed it when watching it, but now when I have to describe in words what I thought of it I honestly don't know. I only really remember some images of the movie to be honest which just proves that the movie was quite forgettable.
