Buffy N (us) wrote: I loved the film, I think most critics assumed because of Cathal's earlier works that this would be some sort of expose' on Lynchehaun and what happened once he got out of Ireland. I don't think that was Cathal's point at all, I think he merely wanted to tell a real life love story gone wrong, and leave the politics of the incident back in the 1800's where they belonged. There was a lot of feuding over Lynchehaun between Ireland and America and each side of the pond tells a different tale, that was not the point of this film. It was not about who was right or wrong, it was about how love can sometimes just be madness in disguise, how thin a line there is between lust and insanity and how Lynchehaun crossed it.

Bee C (fr) wrote: WTF??!! This movie is bad when you see a bunch of old butch white male wearing leather chaps at a funeral. And what the fuck was with those miserable count-by-the-fingers homo protesters? Seriously I cannot even get past the halfway mark without feeling retched in my throat. It was the most disgusting piece of a gay crap movie I have ever seen. Period.

Mr D (de) wrote: Why should I foulmouth this movie. It`s Steven Seagal.Surprisingly although set in Afghanistan the muslims arn`t stereotypical. Interracial lesbian sex with black woman and arab bulldyke terrorist. Hmm maybe the Taleban wasn`t that bad after all. One of the good guys shouts Allah u Akbar and kiss my Arab ass. An Arab in Afghanistan screaming kiss my arab ass, maybe the muslims don`t just love each other like we thought.Leave it to Steven Seagal to break down stereotypes.

James B (it) wrote: assayas pulls it off, with help from the actors, but I still have to wonder why this movie was made.

Adrienne L (ag) wrote: Hints of genious are lost amongst the chaotic mess that is 'Cecil B. Demented'. To be fair I usually find John Waters films difficult to enjoy. Its like taking too many hits of acid at once or something. Melanie Griffith was hilarious but the acting by everyone else was horrific. Basically this was as awful as 'Southland Tales'. I didn't finish that either.

Scott G (ca) wrote: A great film but I don't think the title fits. If its called All Dogs Go To Heaven then how can there be a doggie hell. Not to mention the Annabelle saying you can never come back. But that's the only problem I have with the film.

TTT C (us) wrote: Have you ever heard of a film being too-English? Well, here's one. I love the Arthurian tale and legend but I'll stick to Excalibur (1981) and The Sword in the Stone.
