(de) wrote: whilst the film is actually quite good, with its clever script, believible characters and sound use of budget, it is seriously embaressing to watch.it was clearly made in an era when female nudity was suddenly made possible and old stuffy attitudes towards a naked breast were thrown out of the window. in fact you can well imagine that the majority of the women in the movie would have felt quite liberated at being able to show off their bodies.the problem is that they really take every opportunity to show you as much as they can without getting an X certificate and only being shown in certain cinemas frequented by smelly men. there are seemingly endless amounts of female flesh, often playing little or no part in the story and ultimately ditracting from the whole thing a lot.it probably had lofty, edgy and forward thinking ideals when it was made. now it is quite juvernile and silly. smutty fun.
(ru) wrote: This Woman,New Bride, Ellen, is so Possessive(Gene Tierney) that she will kill anyone who her Husband(Cornel Wilde) shows attention too, which includes his crippled little brother(Darryl Hickman), & her own Unborn Child.Clearly a Psycho, she frames another Woman for her own Suicide when she is found out by her Husband & this Family Friend, Ruth(Jeanne Crain).Vincent Price is the Prosecuting Attorney, & the Ex Love of the late Ellen(Tierney).Gene Tierney is exquisitely Beautiful in this film, & sure doesn't look the part of a woman so insecure that she is threatened about sharing any attention's of her husband. She gives a chillingly wonderful performance.

(es) wrote: Fairly done, though ambitious in its efforts to emulate the likes of The Hobbit trilogy. The great cast doesn't quite save this film either.
(ca) wrote: **Too complicated for its own good, but supporting some great performances, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is an unfortunately average thriller, as it suffers from its scripts overly complex structure.
