Kristina K (kr) wrote: Considering that Chikatilo was mostly into killing children I think they managed to get a good "serial killer" movie without gore and too much violence. No one needs to see that. Having said that, Rea was great, DeMunn was great, Sutherland should've skipped it. I read a book about that case and yeah very true to the story. Fuckin communists.

Alejandro D (gb) wrote: Over the top in ridiculousness but some fucking hilarious scenes and acting XD would have rated higher if the ending would have been cut a little shorter. A must see at least once in your lifetime jajaja

Andrew U (fr) wrote: Interesting concept - director provokes crew and films their reaction. But I don't think it worked out as intended since the crew seemed to be on to him from the beginning, being fully conscious that the whole thing might be a charade to make a point about society...and this spurred a whole lot of "the camera is rolling so I better make myself look intellectual" speeches. Plus, a lot of filler scenes without context. I like the idea, and there's a lot to think about here, but it's not as effective or interesting as it could have been. Fellini's Orchestra Rehearsal is a far better film on the same theme.

Orlok W (it) wrote: It's a typical 50's Technicolor Western trotting out all the usual ingredients with the usual vim - no-nonsense people and plot was the motto... A Prototype Gatling Gun & A superior "B" Western--It has a bit of everything Western in: romance and fights, trains and horses, shootings and slapstick comedy. It's fun, I loved it... Enjoyable and rousing Western!!

John G (jp) wrote: I was never a fan of "The Champ," Wallace Berry's version or the even worst Jon Voight version, so I was not expecting much from this unofficial remake with Red Skelton as the alcoholic/gambler father barely hanging on to a failing career. His son adores him and sticks with him through it all. Needless to say, the film is a tear jerker, tugging at soft hearts everywhere. Skelton handles the dramatic parts well enough and performs some of his well known comic routines. Jane Greer has the thankless role of Skelton's ex-wife.

Trey M (us) wrote: Doesn't hold up for me, the Donner version works better for me, still way better than 3,4, Returns

Zack B (us) wrote: The bare bones realism reminded me of certain scenes in Lindsay Anderson's If..., a similar although totally different take on the life of a young, rebellious English boy. Chris Menges' cinematography was amazing. Poignant and moving.

Kendall I (es) wrote: This is the best movie that will ever exist out of a cheap horror pack. I saw this movie flash everywhere on Netflix as a suggestion so I decided to break out my horror pack DVD's and sit through this, and boy am I glad I did. The acting is pretty excellent for a B-horror,especially the late great Dennis Hopper's part. The horror count is kind of low,but the grim, mystery parts make up for that perfectly. The one part I felt scared out of the whole movie is when the killer had Dennis' character trapped in a room of his/her dolls made out of molds shaped like the kids this killer killed. She could be anywhere and Dennis gets shaky looking for her in the flood of creepy, fake faces. The only two things I didn't like is at some parts I kinda of got confusedbecause of its jumps from here-to-there and that the score is very nice, but unfitting. So overall,it's a great mystery for a B-movie. Great!
