Merle Kramer works as a stenographer for a psychiatrist. She is casually dating Karl Benson, a private eye and former cop. Merle mentions in passing that one of her boss's patients is an author with recurring dreams of murdering his wife, and she includes the fact that the wife owns valuable jewels. When the wife is found murdered in a manner identical to that of her husband's dream, the husband is naturally the prime suspect. But as the investigation of the police and insurance investigator Joe Cooper proceeds, it turns out that several people in the case, including Merle, are not what they seem.

(es) wrote: While its message is valuable, Robert Mandel misuses a powerhouse of future talents on such a safe and unexceptional piece.
(kr) wrote: The film could have stood to be a little more artsy with regard to it's execution considering it's unique artstyle and abstract story, otherwise it's a perfectly delightful midnight movie that perhaps even kids could enjoy
(jp) wrote: Well I wasn't expecting much of this film, but it was actually quite entertaining. It's Tati returning to his music hall days just for the fun of it. It's not a masterpiece and it's not Hulot. But it is full of the usual Tati charm and, in a sense, comes full circle, nodding back to Jour de Fete.

(ca) wrote: An excellent addition to the found footage genre, that perfectly contrasts the highs and the morbid lows of the lives of two LA cops. What could have very easily turned into another Buddy cop film manages to maintain the audiences investment throughout, due to great performances from the leads and support cast alike.
(mx) wrote: If you are walking into this one looking for a masterpiece, i would recommend you keep walking. But if you walk into this looking for a bloody good time, then stop and have a seat. It's a slasher movie that finally does it right for a change. It takes place at a sorority house (obviously) where there are the main 5 girls, The bitchy leader of the group, the sex addict slut faced hose bag, the shy innocent one, the girl who knows the right thing to do, and the off white/asian girl (there is one in ever movie). Now, when a prank on one of the boys goes horribly wrong, the bitch tells the others that they need to cover it up to not ruin any of their lives because that's what sisterhood is all about. Months later they all receive a text message that someone is after them and knows what they did, they all start dying one by one. This type of movie has been done many, many, many times before but for some reason this one worked for me and I really liked it.
