AJ V (nl) wrote: Being completely honest, I was not a fan of the MTV show, Jackass. It was stupid, and boring most of the time. Some stunts in the show were pretty cool, funny, and amusing, but others were just really, really dumb. Jackass: The Movie is pretty great, mostly because 56% of the footage would never, ever premiere on television. Just like the television show, these stunts are disgusting, dangerous, and really stupid, but just seeing this cast of stunt professionals doing extremely painful and really dumb things makes me laugh. This movie may not be everybody's film, as how cruel, rude, and stupid it is, but has enough entertaining content to keep everybody laughing and shaking their heads. A great film to watch with friends. Grade: B-

Simon D (us) wrote: a very typical cult movie. Apart from the main actress, the acting is quite poor but it's quite a funny story and you are always waiting for the title to become justified so you can't really turn it off.

I also liked the fact that not one, but all of the songs were very catchy, which is an interesting factor to consider.Carlos Saldanha did a brilliant job in directing this film, and for that reason, I enjoyed this movie almost as much as I enjoyed it when I saw it as a kid.
Blais E (mx) wrote: My second choice as Maestro Harryhausen's greatest endeavor, I saw this over & over when it was initially released. The fantasy creatures, as usual, are superbly designed & brought to life in Mr Harryhausen's inimitable style; the battle between the benign ape-like Troglodyte & the enormous Sabre-Toothed Tiger is breath-takingly rendered, as is the attack from the bizarre, insect-like ghouls early on. Jane Seymour, as Princess Farah, is as always, spectacularly beautiful, and the surprising casting of Big-Band songstress Margaret Whiting pays off in spades as she makes for a very memorable villainess as the conniving sorceress, Zenobia. The only drawback is the casting of The Duke's son, Patrick Wayne, as Sinbad--while certainly a handsome, pleasant, & amiable enough fellow, he was a terribly flat actor who had none of the charisma of his father, & his monotoned line delivery is coma-inducing.
