Margaret Cho: Beautiful
Learning to love her luscious self over the past forty years, comedian Margaret Cho realized that the eye of the beholder doesn't hold all the power when it comes to beauty. Our tastes may be groomed by the media, but how we feel about how we look brings our self-image into focus. Armed with something more potent than lip gloss - a mouth so shocking and raunchy it should be stamped with a warning - Cho toured America with her manifesto: "This show is really about how we should feel beautiful," says Cho. "When you feel beautiful, you're going to have more of a willingness to use your voice to speak." Shot at the Long Beach Terrace Theater, Cho's latest stand-up concert film, Beautiful, explores the good, bad, and downright ugly in beauty, and the unattractive politicians and marketers who shape our world.

Perhaps this flick is targeted at teens, the subject of bullying has been put in a very easy, over-simplified way, stereotypical yet predictable. Otherwise, might have been more inspiring. To me, after all, everyone has a part in it- even the victim himself.

I personally loved the first incident story about Lord Vishnu.Kamal Hassan deserves kudos for superbly enacting 10 roles in perfect synchrony with the characters. Although , i must say the makeup is hoddy , u can recognize immediately (especially george w bush ) and i think there was no need for 10 different characters , the movie could shed some of the unimportant characters. Asin has acted well !But cant say the same about Mallika sherawat !

You felt infuriated at his behaviour, yet laughed at it occasionally (at him, not with him). There was an edginess to it, as if it was going out of its way to annoy and offend you. Plus you had the superb performance of Michael Caine. This version is a lot less annoying, which is bad. Alfie's actions almost seem...normal and commonplace. His actions are certainly not being glorified, but they seem a lot less extreme. The new version does have its charms though. Jude Law is suitably suave and charming in the lead role. There is a swagger and big city sophistication to it. The soundtrack (mostly composed and performed by Mick Jagger and Dave Stewart) is great, and works very well with the movie. So, not as good as the original, but reasonably entertaining nonetheless.
