Augustine H (kr) wrote: While most people focus on the magnificent Penelope Cruz, it's the entire female cast that delivers. One of the few moments you don't feel awkward about Almodovar's fascination on peculiar themes.

Greg R (de) wrote: Smart, feel-good, enjoyable, and totally hilarious, led by one of Jack Black's greatest performances,

Antonio T (gb) wrote: Realista, lenta, cmica y extremadamente hipster.

John M (us) wrote: A little uneven in terms of character development and paper-thin in terms of plot, but pretty good as an exploration of fulfillment and disillusionment.

Leena L (ru) wrote: "The cream slowed him down. The milk killed him." So inappropriate and stupid, yet so entertaining, at times even hiliarious and LOL-funny.

Tero H (kr) wrote: Just a list of pluses and minuses for this movie :+ well acted, nice mountain vistas and landscapes, great music by Prague filharmonic orchestra too.- violence and killing is pretty central in this movie, there's not really much else.. women, children, being killed by vikings. theres very graphic, continuous violence and lots of it in the movie.+ native americans fighting vikings, besides the native americans actually seem like real people not just some imaginary cardboard figures- the characters remain a bit superficial and the plot is ultimately quite simple without much unexpected.+ theres lots of action scenes in general, and the effects are well done. This is like the second film in a row I watched rated 11-44% on flixster (91,000 viewers!) when actually its better than that, especially if one likes action films with lots of sword fights..

Nguyen Thuy H (es) wrote: Always a carnival ringmaster, Sirk, once again, is in great control of the material. Nonetheless, this depends too much on languid dialogue to provide an explanation for the audiences. More could perhaps have been done to highlight the archetypes of the characters. However, I think that Sirk has his reasons. Maybe he simply wanted to look back at the 30s with a great sense of deference and formalness.

Justin S (jp) wrote: Despite what the critics say about the film; Rock the Kasbah was thoroughly entertaining. Not much more to add to that.
