Dave C (us) wrote: Dragon is a low budget fantasy film, unfortunately the title Dragon gives the impression it's all about a dragon, alas as this is a low budget film the dragon doesn't appear in the film that much. What you will get from this film is an overly complex back story which basically comes down to the fact that a Princess has to go through a forest which happens to be full of dark elves, a necromancer and a dragon. Along the way she encounters some people who will help her and along the way fight the dragon. One thing that did bother me, and did cost in the rating is that this film is set in a forest all the time. It would have been nice to have some scenes outside of the forest, I know this was due to a budget restriction but I'm sure they could have found a cave somewhere to film in. The characters are amusing, but for the wrong reasons. First we have the (we will crooooosh them) knight who is the master of cunning plans, for example to deal with the rather large dragon."I will attack the dragon head on and distract it""You will then also attack it""Let's go"Then there is the Irish (to be sure to be sure) Han Solo rogue character. In fact only one person seemed to put any real effort in was Eliza Swenson who played the necromancer, co-wrote the film, composed the music, and sang the songs. The other 'character' the dragon isn't too bad for a low budget film and it's a shame we didn't get to see more of it.

Guillaume H (br) wrote: For the second time, im slack jawed by seing Tori Spelling being truly wird and comepelling in a movie that defies gender and challenges viewers with something really unexpected. She gets it, and makes it more. I always wanted to think sh really sucks but truth is she can be truly special sometimes. This movie is in a different class. Dont go in expecting Lovecraft mythos visuals. Just go in. It will get you somewhere strange. You wont regret it.

Alec B (de) wrote: I felt the film could have explored more of the brief career of Joe Orton because the film tends to brush over those parts a bit. However the performances of Oldman and Molina are amazing. Its too bad the film was released in 1987, because if it was done now I think the content wouldn't have made people ignore it.
