Jacob F (kr) wrote: The Corridor was an interesting, thought provoking, and unsettling watch. For being a first film Evan Kelly did a great job directing this. He keeps the film moving at an engaging pace, and keeps the tension mounting. I do feel like it falls apart a bit in the third act but that's not really his fault. That brings me to the script, which has a surprising amount of character development and depth in it. The first and second act build the characters extremely well, which makes it all the more disappointing when the film turns into a gory horror film without a real conclusion by the end. The actors who are basically all no names, do a great job making each character feel unique and alive. They make their feelings and struggles feel real and relatable, drawing the viewer in very well. Last and sadly least are the effects. First I'll start positive, The blood and gore effects were practical and looked great. The special effects for the corridor itself also looked fine in the beginning because they used it sparingly. Which now brings me to the bad, as the film goes on and the corridor expands, it ends up looking incredibly bad and distracting, also one of the characters has an extremely obvious bald cap that made them look laughable, and made it hard to take them seriously at times. Overall though The Corridor is an atmospheric, tense, and character driven sci-Fi/horror/drama that kept me engaged up until the last 20-30 minutes.

Rickey D (au) wrote: Definitely worth a watch, but not one I'd buy. Anthony Hopkins carries the entire thing.

Eric R (it) wrote: Could have been a lot more light hearted. Entertaining in parts, slow and overly dramatic in others. A lot of cliched characters...the plucky minority, the unmotivated son and his serious father, the spunky, attractive, young female and the snooty Brit. Wine isn't a heavy subject...and a unique event like The Paris Tasting of 1976 would've made for a great quirky comedy.

RonaldThomas F (ag) wrote: Be warned: This is both my favorite Julie Roberts and Hugh Grant film. Both of whom I enjoy watching on the silver screen. The basic premise is Roberts is an A-List Hollywood star, who falls for an ordinary bookstore owner, Grant. They obviously come from two very different worlds, but you know from the start that they are destined for each other. Part of the fun is the journey that takes them down that path. A smart, romantic comedy in which the two leads show real chemistry. Rather funny at times and far from a shallow, one-note movie. Of special note, is the soundtrack which has some truly greats songs that enhances the movie.

Uriel G (de) wrote: This is an absolute masterpiece. It's not only an uchronia or a fantastic tale about World War II, it is a perfect example of how this must be done.Tarantino combines in an exemplary way the stories that are told, so that all converge, both having the same end and joining in a masterful way to give the film a final more than worthy. The characters are charismatic and unscrupulous, something that gives the movie freshness and makes it even more interesting than it is.The performance of Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa only makes this film an indispensable work for any movie lover.
