Jocey D (ru) wrote: Intriguing but not engaging. Good acting but only created subtle characters for which I didn't care. I wanted to learn more about the era and the research but it didn't intrigue me enough to watch in its entirety. One hour wasted was enough.

AD V (ru) wrote: It may have worked for 'From Dusk Till Dawn' but changing genres midway (from thriller to black comedy in this case) does not work at all here. It's still hard to believe that Ashley Johnson was the little girl in Growing Pains. Sheesh I'm old.

Jayne Elia P (fr) wrote: Josh Peck was excellent in this roll, enjoyed watching him expand his rolls, was good to see him in a more adult roll rather than his character in Nicks Drake and Josh

Jason V (de) wrote: There's something about Dead Ringer which keeps it from being in the same league as other Bette Davis films like Whatever Happened to Baby Jane or All About Eve. Surely it runs at least 20 minutes too long and the central conceit, Davis playing dueling twins, is jettisoned far too quickly to get on with the actual plot. The ending is a bit of an anti-climax, all things considered, but you know what? This is a lavish production with Davis front and center throughout. A whole range of problems comes to mind with taking someone else's identity, though the movie never really pummels the audience with those issues. Maybe it wants the audience to think about them independently. Maybe the movie just doesn't care to think any of those things through or show the problems on screen. Either way, Dead Ringer is still recommended.

Austin G (gb) wrote: The sequel explains this movie in a minute and a half in its opening credits, so feel free to drive by this one.

Phani T (it) wrote: Halle berry is probably the best part of the movie. And coders/hackers don't throw up their hands in any kind of feeling as frequently as in this movie. Too much of action for a hi-tech theft movie. John Travolta has his moments, but not in this one.Ok to watch.
