Steelhead travels to Japan in order to find his ex lover, who went to Tokyo to make a living. In the process, the immigrants get tangled up in a gang war. The Shinjuku Incident proves that Jackie Chan can still make movies, even when he's not jumping off the walls.

I also don't like the idea of a James Bond for kids as the regular Bond appeals to all ages and kids should watch those instead.
Deb S (ag) wrote: This movie taps into the post 9/11 paranoia and Peter Krause is believable as the recently laid off accountant, Terry Allen who now is having trouble finding work. He becomes suspicious of his middle-eastern looking neighbor Khaled Abol Naga who has just moved in and seemingly fits the profile of a terrorist because of his friendship with other Arab looking guys who show up at his place with all kinds of mysterious packages and who has the strange habit of dumping his garbage at odd times at night. Khaled also has ominous looking chemical equipment in his kitchen along with ATM deposit envelopes for what appears to be a money laundering set up for terrorist activities. The ending keeps you guessing as it was never really clear whether or not Krause was paranoid or justified in suspecting his neighbor. My Take: I just think this movie will make more people paranoid. It's is not hard to believe that this kind of bigotry still exist despite our policy of innocent until proven guilty where one should not discriminate based on ethnic culture, religion or color of skin; even if it turns out in the end that you were right all along. It's enough to depress you but will definitely leave you wondering even when it is all over.
Zaw M (br) wrote: Police Story is a masterpiece of action movies. I consider it as the most under appreciated action movie of all time.I have not revisited Police Story for a long time, so I decided to spend my afternoon with it. Boy, I made the right (best) decision! Jackie Chan played with death for several times in this movie. I salute him for doing those deadly stunts. The fight scenes are jaw-dropping, brilliantly choreographed, and well-shot. Stunts are terrifying and deadly. While I was watching the action scenes, I was like - "Is this real? How the hell did they do that? Damn that must be painful!" Unlike most Jackie Chan's movies, Police Story has a strong storyline with good pacing. The plot is perfectly blended with the action. My heart was pounding from the amazing opening scene to the end of the movie. But the movie indeed has flaws. It doesn't have a kick-ass soundtrack. That is the only problem for me. But I don't even care about it because this movie is freaking awesome.
Max L (ag) wrote: An almost absurdly simple story that is understated, yet blunt and violently truthful in the delivery of its themes. Fassbinder treats his audience like adults, something that is really lacking in most movies these days. Refreshing and relevating.
Walter C (gb) wrote: A silly horror film to come out of the 1950's. The actors look like they are having fun and some of the dialogue isn't bad which made the movie enjoyable to watch.
Conor R (jp) wrote: Not a bad movie. The entire movie is carried by Richard Boone. But I think Richard Boone is a cool dude so I'm okay with that.
Bill T (au) wrote: Fairly pedestrian effort here from all involved, who all seem to be going through the motions here with a pedestrian vampiire script with absolutely no sense of suspense, lack of character depth, and just plain blahness. Really forgettable, the weakest of the Universal monster horrors I've seen.
